Which means this entire arrangement was a massive waste of time and money. If you're going to secure timed exclusivity for something then why reveal it to the public before the game even comes out? Isn't that defeating the purpose?

The whole tomb raider fiasco. Its timed exclusive. So what?

I don't know, you tell me the big deal. You're the one who seems to be making an issue out of nothing. 

Does the exclusive to Xbox have a duration? Is it timed? How long is the duration? Can we expect a PlayStation 4 or PC release in the future?

Yes, our deal with Microsoft has a duration. We aren’t discussing details of the deal, and are focused on delivering a great game on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

I don't think he would mention the PS4 if it's not eventually coming to the platform. 

All we want is confirmation that's its coming to PS4 and how long the exclusivity deal with MS will last. Those are the main questions everybody has been asking from the beginning. 

It's because Microsoft is in a lot of trouble.  They desperatly needed to show that "wow" factor during Gamescom to create some positive media buzz for the XB1; however, I think it completely backfired this time.

Phil already confirmed this like a week ago, but I guess more confirmation from CD and SE was needed for those skeptics. (not sure why they would doubt what Phil says)

Nobody actually said "this game is timed".

what Phill said was "the franchise/ip is timed" which means that Rise of tomb raider could be exclusive but a(lets say) "Tomb raider 3" don't.

Probaly not. I think MS will publish the game and pay for the development. My guess is xbox then pc a year later.
