Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you have interest in/like ANY nintendo game?

I mean in new content and interesting ideas. When buying a Nintendo console nowadays you know what to expect from it. Its very safe and to the numbers; Mario, Zelda, Metroid and Donkey Kong. They hardly ever delve outside those IP's for their 1st party development cycle. They use tried and tested IP's and hardly ever take risks with new creations.

Third parties and other devs/publishers do the same with their most popular IP's, but every once in a while we get some fresh new ideas.. Games like; EVOLVE, Cyberpunk 2077, No Man's Sky etc. So no, not at all.

So you seen Splatoon, and Wonderful 101 coming, as well as seen Xenoblade and feel it doesn't offer something unique to compare it to the likes of Evolve, Cyberpunk, and No Man's Sky?

Yes I have. Both of those look quite good for their respective genres and is a good start for Nintendo. And I'm not going into a debate over whats more unique. It was just a general observation of a typical lineup for their consoles. Also, you do know that Wonderful 101 is third party game made by Platinum Games, right?

Third party game? You may want to check out the official website.

http://thewonderful101.nintendo.com/

At the bottom it has some interesting text.

© 2013 Nintendo/PlatinumGames Inc. The Wonderful 101 and Wii U are trademarks of Nintendo. © 2013 Nintendo.

It was developed by a third party, but owned by Nintendo.

And I agree with not wanting to debate over what's more unique, it would be a long process that would ultimately lead nowhere.

Yeah, technically it is. Funded and published by Nintendo. Its a Nintendo game, but was made by an independent (third party) developer. So I'll treat it as such :p

Looking forward to next SSBs, Star Fox, Splatoon, and Bayo 2 among others.

Go ahead, it's still a brand new Nintendo owned IP.

"These games alone make Wii U a must have."

Clearly they don't. Unless you are into a specific genre, you won't enjoy the game. The majority of gamers are teenage, white western males. Getting them to play cheesy games involving a fat bouncing italian plumber just isn't going to happen regardless of the quality. Look at Apple. Yesterdays tech, tomorrows prices, sell at the speed of light because they are aimed at the right market. Gamers have changed and Nintendo has failed to grasp this fact.

Lol. Whatever man, if you don't like Nintendo's games that's your preference. Obviously if you for whatever reason hate every single Nintendo game (not just Mario) ever made, the answer to the thread is no.

Riiiiiight. So instead of discussing this you're coming up with BS and going "whateva"...

I haven't once mentioned my personal preference with regard to gaming, so why are you bringing it up and how is it relevant?
