I have seen so many people saying that don't have playing on a nintendo console since NES or SNES and they are fine missing SOME nintendo games. They are now with PS/MS consoles and they never "looked back" because Nintendo didn't do anything do caught their attention once again and the reasons are:

No third party support (even when some series are suffering a quality decline)

Graphics (even when the difference are some pixels, particles and textures rendering)

No voice acting

Too many cartoonish characters

Too much of the same (even when other companies abuse of a franchise releasing various "sequels" in a shorter time frame)

No violence, blood, etc...

And i ask myself... what about the game?! Did you played? Watched the gameplay? Because I found these reasons so futile, that i don't even know if some of you are really serious. When you don't play a nintendo console you are not only missing a bunch of platformer games. Instead of turning your back when you see the nintendo logo (or mario's hat), you should see the game and when i say "see" i am not talking about the visuals aspects

Note: I am not talking only about Wii U since i mentioned NES and SNES. Nintendo portable consoles are consoles too, so every single nintendo console is included

If it makes you feel better, there are only 3 upcoming games. Only one of them is a must buy for me.

Of course, and I bought them all (Pikmin, Mario Kart, Zelda, Fire Emblem, Kirby, Golden Sun, Earthbound, Advance Wars, ... you name them) - but then again, the question was probably not directed at me.

The cartoonish/family friend aspect of Nintendo is certainly a big part of their appeal to the masses. With that said, i personally dont buy Nintendo systems for them.

I only bought Mario Sunshine and Mario Kart 8. There is more to Nintendo than those games. The Xenoblade series is amazing, the Fire Emblem series is really enjoyable, The Zelda series has surprising depth, Metroid can be really good, Bayonetta 2 and Devil's Third are exclusively on Nintendo systems, Eternal Darkness comes to mind aswell, etc. Many i dont really remember (guy above me reminded me of Golden Sun wich is pretty good aswell).

I am fine, it just some posters that love to rub on everyone's face their indifference about nintendo that make me a little upset

I am tempted, but can't bring myself to actually buy a WiiU yet (not much in the disposable income account at the moment)...but I have been tempted by the recent Mario games, MK8, and the promise of a new Starfox....maybe next year.

I never really cared for Mario except for 3, but I have never gotten tired of the Zelda series, i keep buying their handhelds to play them, and will eventually pick up a WiiU to play the newest one, which looks quite beautiful.

Well, you can ignore their comments on Nintendo because they have no real foundation.
