I'm going into confession mode here, mostly because I have been allowing my systems to be played by the public and others moreso than ever before... sooo, here's the thing... I clean my controllers on a weekly basis, and also clean them anytime after someone else has used them.
I have NO idea why I feel the compulsion to do so, but I wipe down the Gamepad and clean the screen regularly. I even waxed the screen protector to ensure people's spit comes off really easily... I also wipe them down with a dry terry towel I have sitting nearby everytime after *I* use it.
That Xbox One controller? Oh yea, you see that little "edge" that separates the smooth center of the analog stick and the grip texture around the edge? It collects dead skin over time (even my friend noticed this when I pointed it out, and was like "ooohhhhh..."), so on a weekly basis, I get a toothbrush, lightly get a small amount of Orange multipurpose cleaner on the bristle tips, and brush out the dead skin.
Lastly, I put a VERY tiny amount of general purpose household lubricating oil around the column of every analog stick, so that when it rubs around the cutout on the controllers, it doesn't start to wear in a "track" from it.
Now, I'm PRETTY sure I'm the only one ever to be this anal about keeping my controllers clean and in tip-top condition, but like the title says... *IS* there anyone else?
