No one is really talking about this.

I feel Microsoft made the most gains and made more money.

Microsoft in my opinion was also far more innovative than Sony.

The sales are pretty much neck and neck in total sales worldwide.

Microsoft also dusted Sony in America by more than 15 Million Units (I may have to check the numbers again.)

I feel Xbox One will outsell the Playstation 4 in America again in the long run.

Oh and Yea, despite worldwide total sales being pretty much a tie. I say Microsoft Won last generation.

The Xbox 360 Won because it was far more innovative and in my opinion has a far better line-up of games.

And yes. Despite the Xbox One being behind in sales, in the long run I think history will repeat itself.

PS3

in terms of slapping the other - 360 because how many people PS lost
overall - PS3 because of better line up of games in the end as well as carrying over all the positive things into the successor (much better late life support) and also for outselling the 360 for many years now

Considering how much fun I've had with both consoles, I'd say it's a tie.

1. The ps3 won last generation because Sony actually cared about the consumer and even took some damage by selling the console at a loss.
2. The ps3 won last generation because it was by far the most powerfull console that generation, which was shown by the amazing grapicks which first party games had.
3. The ps3 won last generation not only for what it did but for what is going to happean. Ps3 will by far have the better legs and continue selling and getting games way later then the xbox 360 will, which microsoft have already sort off dropped support for.

PS: The xbox one will never beat the ps4 when it comes to total units sold in America, this is shown especially by how the ps4 keeps beating the xbox one by over 15k if not double  that and how even a 100 dollar price drop failed to make a difference in terms of sales for the xbox one.

360 definitely won the overall battle but I have never seen a comeback like the one PS3 did. That is on the same level as the way PS2 crushed all competition.

I like the ps3 better but then again, I love jrpgs a lot so I might be slightly biased

The 360 was a bigger win to the Xbox brand than the PS3 was to PlayStation, but i'd say the PS3 itself was the overall "winner" between the two.

Despite the late (and terrible) launch it still managed to pass the 360 in sales (or at the very least will have once all is said and done), and has the better library of AAA titles, both to me personally and critically.

X360 won the 7th and made the Xbone to start the 8th in a very bad shape, PS3 lost the 7th but made the PS4 to start the 8th in a very good shape, so who won? u tell me buddy.

2005-2009 = Xbox 360
2009-2013 = PS3
