Yeah, the fact that many people had up to even 4 Xbox 360's due to RROD is never talked about for some reason.

I had 5, they were all replaced for free. The free part is what I don't see anyone talking about when they mention rrod

I had 4. Only one was replaced for free. They didn't change their warranty policy until year two or three. it also doesn't change the fact that MS lumped in all those "free" replacements that happened after the warranty change in with sales. Unles you really want to try and say that 30+mil people bought an Xb1 and didn't have an XBL gold account, since it was litterally required for everything. XBL Golds user base was released as 60 or so million. The math doesn't add up. They definitly included the replacements in that total.

I didn't. Just because the 360 had a steadier stream than the Wii doesn't mean that the 360 actually had a steady stream of AAA titles. Relative =/= Definitive. Fable 3 absolutely sucked. Halo 4 was a step down from Halo Reach. Gears of War Judgement was also a huge step down from Gears 3.

Oh ok, so because YOU didn't particularly care for M$'s more recent exclusives they're not actually AAA titles, and your opinion automatically overrides the millions who bought and enjoyed all of those games you listed.

So therefore, I can make the same exact argument about the PS3's library in recent years because I didn't particularly care for AAA titles like Uncharted 3, Killzone 3, GoW Ascension, Resistance 3, Ratchet & Clank All 4 One, etc. even though they all sold well, were critically acclaimed and have millions of fans.

This is coming from a huge Ratchet & Clank fan. All 4 One sucked. It's also the 2nd worst (And IMO the worst rated one was better than All 4 One) rated entry in the franchise with 70 on metacritic. That's not critical acclaim.

All Xbox needs is halo and the numbers will come in:)

I find it funny everyone puts so much faith in Halo. I'm sorry but the franchise is overrated and it's seriously sucked since Bungie left. What are you guys going to tell yourselves if the game doesn't do what you dream it will do? This sounds like a repeat of Titanfall all over again. Every dedicated fan screamed from the rafters that it would sell huge numbers and make Xb1 dominate. The bundle barely outsold ps3 and couldn't manage to outsell ps4. At some point you have to acknowledge the very real possibility that people have gotten tiered of the franchise and it won't sell as well as you think because people have moved on and are looking for something new like Destiney. Which for the record will sell many more Ps4's than Xb1's if any.

Mmm halo 4 meta score 87 and sold over 9 million..... Yeah that's why faith is put on halo 😁

I doubt it will come close to the PS4 in any territory, but 50 million isn't out of reach.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

Well, I suppose it will in China....

Yeah no... everyone is talking about the fact that you had 5 freaking 360s.  That does NOT make anyone confident in the reliability of the product or the brand.  Thats really quite a shame really.   One would imagine that PS4 may have gotten a slight boost from people who got burned like 3+ times.

i expect half x360 sales.

*i think ps4 sucess will force ms to start 9 gen early.

a balanced generation is longer than a dominated generation...

I hope that does not happen. I actually dont think it can.

Everyone knows that console sales are on the decline and pc is rising. If they drop the gen to quickly it will be worst for MS themselfs. If they drop the console due to lack of sales it will look bad and people will loose confidence on the brand and wont switch to the next gen, they will be better off buying the cheaper ps4 that still gets support and has many exclusive or wait for the ps5 wich will come soon and knows ps has the best exclusives. This is a problem for MS because they lack the most exclusives and when they get them from third partys they go to pc so they will just switch to pc.

For they to switch early they would first need  a deasent installbase and a big number of exclusives that people will know would come back only on next gen or else no one will want the next console. If they can achive this in 5 years, wich to my gess is at least 40m installbase and around 10 games that canot be played anywhere else and are high rated, then is safe to dump the x1, but thas highly unllikely. They need to take their time and build up those first party studios with great IP's.

Even if they are loosing 4:1 they need to wait it out at least 6 years for them to have the requierements to know that next gen a lot of dedicated fans will get the next console. Sony wont go first because they are enjoying the sales to much, so MS can take their time.

Also if they go to quickly I think it will be bad for gaming. Since people will look bad upon gaming consoles if they live to shortly and have very few exclusives, since pcs can play most games and do many other things.
