I see the appeal of it, I just don't think it is completely warranted, especially after playing the Beta...

Anyways, congrats MK8! I think its pretty well deserved when compared to the other games that released this year ^.^

Mario Kart won't be at 3 million in a month. Highest I see for it is 2.7m being generous. So yeah there's a ton of hype and there's a ton of PS4s. More than when Watch Dogs released. And with the bundle I'd say theres a good chance that it'll be at or above 2.6m

You don't have to see the appeal for yourself but for everyone else. Just combine the words Bungie, Online and Shooter and you will come to the conclusion that there is an appeal to some people.

I couldn't give 2 shits about the game. I'm only interested in how much HW it will push.

You forgot Activision in there.


No one gives a shit about Activision. People don't buy Activision games because of Activision. The game could be published by EA or Square Enix and it would still sell the same.

I mean Activision is a reason it will sell well

Congrats to MK8, it's well deserved. Despite my constant whining about its terrible image quality, i honestly think it's a fantastic game. In line with the quality of I:SS but with a lot more content.

I'm still terrible at it though.

Yes, but to not reach 2.7k in 5 weeks it would have to sell less than 52k average a week. I don't think it will even reach those low sales in 5 weeks.
