Forums - Nintendo Discussion - If you want quality mature games on Wii U, please don't support a gimped port of Watch Dogs. There's a better solution.

How do you know it will be a gimped port?

Because it's Ubisoft.

What about the people who have no interest in Bayonetta 1+2 and can't wait to play Watch_Dogs on their WiiU? Should they buy Bayonetta even though they have no intention of playing it?

Yes, because it's impossible to not like Bayonetta.

Well i'd buy Bayonetta 2 over Watchdogs, but i won't buy neither, they're just not my cup of tea.

But i will definitly buy Xenoblade Chronicles X and Fatal Frame U (if it's going to be released in the west).

I have no interest in Watch Dogs personally, and I'm not sure about Bayonetta. I'll wait until after its release to see if it's something I might be interested in.

I'm way ahead of you. Ubisoft talking that in between last gen and next gen, but closer to last gen is no sale. Bayonetta 2 and Smash Bros is preordered already.

I kinda agree, dont support the late port that is likely to be gimped in some way, that would just show Ubisoft and others that we are ok with late, inferior versions of games. Instead support the exclusive title that Nintendo themselves is funding.

Especially when not to long ago things were like this

"we wont release Rayman Legends on WiiU even tho its 99% finished because we want to bring it to other platforms and if its out on WiiU earlier the other platform owners will think its an old game and noone will buy it"

and now its

"WatchDogs will come to WiiU a year later because we dont give a fuck about you idiotic WiiU owners but please still buy our old game. If you buy it then you show us that we can treat you like second class citizens. And if you dont then we have yet another proof for NINTENDO OWNERS DONT BUY OUR GAMES. Anyway you lose! hahaha"

BTW:
Also ZombiU needs more than 1m to break even = 0 profit!  (because it was nowhere near profitable with its current sales)  even tho its a low budget game that comes out on 1single system and had no marketing at all.

And WatchDogs only needs 6m to be profitable (people dont expect $1 in profits when they say something like that they expect ALOT OF PROFIT!) even tho its coming to 6 systems had a ton of marketing and is a AAA ultra budget game.

So again ZombiU needs alot more than 1m to not be considered a failure (probably 1.5m that was on a new system with a userbase of then exactly ZERO)  and Watchdogs is a huge success with only 6m sold copies on 4m WiiU's 10m PS4+X1's 180m PS360's and XXm PC's?
Mr Spock is not amused by this lack of logic.

Not so long ago it was 'we need to use Wii U dev resources to get the rest of the versions out as soon as possible because we lost a load of money by delaying the original launch and delaying a second time would be bad. But we're not going to rush the Wii U version because we want to get the best out of the Wii U gamepad set up.'

So, I wait with interest to see whether they keep to their word.

I don't know why would anyone support a late port like WD, when it's not going to make a damn difference regarding the WiiU's 3rd party support.. :S

I would say "buy the Fatal frame!"

You kinda made me have a change of heart about the Wii U's version of Watch Dogs.

Also, they said it the graphics would be in between last gen and this gen, but closer to last gen. So - better looking than on PS360. Let's see how that turns out, too.
