Nintendo gamers are hardcore gamers.

Nintendos next console has to match the specs of the next consoles if it wants a chance to get third party support.
Or they can continue thier current path and make sure they are self reliant.

I think the wiiU's market is a) Nintendo fans b) People that own a PC/ps4/x1 and are looking to buy another console cause the wiiU's biggest strength is its exclusives that cannot be playable on other platforms but of course, its biggest weakness is that virtually all games that can be played on other platforms can't be played on the wiiU but if if you own one of the other consoles/PC, then a lot of the games will be the same on the other consoles except the wiiU.

So what I am getting at is, ps4/x1/PC + wiiU is a good way to go if you have the money for it and if u like Nintendo games. If you don't like Nintendo games, well, then dont even bother

Pretty much the reasons why I don't buy 3rd party on Wii U. Nintendo's online is bad for basic standards. And the games are compromised all the stupid time. It never fails. And if the game somehow isn't. It's doomed anyway with this problem. I have a gaming PC, PS4, and Wii U. A multiplat game will always be favored to my PS4. PC, if my friend wants the game too.

Never a Wii U. I buy Nintendo only. You can't blame me. I can't just buy a game, have it work the same everywhere else. And have no restrictions on chatting or even seeing my friends online in some poor annoying way. Nintendo has to deal with this in some mannor. Or it will just get worse. Any maybe well never get better. They choose to do these bizare things.

Most Wii U owners are hardcore gamers (don't believe the hype). Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong and Mario are hardcore games. "Just Dance" by Ubisoft is that (casual) something else.

Yup, unless you like Animal Crossing!

You have to be pretty hardcore to religiously play Animal Crossing everyday.

Bored =/= Hardcore

If games like Bayonetta 2 flop on the Wii U then this kind of outlook will be amplified.

If it is success then hopefully some smaller third parties can give it a chance.

Ubisoft games are pretty much now dead on the Wii U.
