This one isn't really about facts, just predictions. I have a question.

Which one makes more since to get second place?

Here's my answer. Wii U. Why? Let me explain.

So PS4 and Xbox One are going after the same audience. Which one is winning? PS4.

Wii U is in its own league. Its basically becoming a system where its games you can't get anywhere else.

Now if PS4 and Xbox One have mostly the same games, more people are going to buy PS4. People that buy PS4 that want a second console are gonna buy what? The system that basically has the same games just less powerful. No. They're going to buy a system that has different games. Same goes for Xbox One. They most likely aren't gonna buy PS4 for same reason.

Actually you make a valid point. However, don't forget that Xbox has 1st party titles that are cherished in the gaming community that can contend with Nintendo.

Sure, perhaps Wii U makes most sense, but the gaming market doesn't make sense. The Xbox One is almost guaranteed to get 2nd place.

Its really hard to tell cause its like sure, the wiiu is beating the x1 but this is wiius second year vs x1s first which = limited games for the first year as with every console but, on the other hand, ur logic makes sense... A person that is looking to get a console for the best third party experience as well as good first party should always pick the ps4 cause the ps4 will have better performance for the same price as an x1 so it doesn't really make the x1 too appealing and those looking for an exclusive experience will buy the wiiu

But, with that being said, I do believe we will know for sure at the end of 2015 and I m starting to think wiiu as well

Can we stop this already? It's obvious that the X1 will end up in 2nd place at the end of the generation! Just wait until the sysem sellers ( like Halo for example) come out!

PS: CoD will push X1 sales. M$ does not need to wait until Halo 5. And before someone quote me: Smash won't do wonders. Deal with it

I don't think Wii U is going to sell even 20 million units LTD. It continues to trend below the GameCube (22 million LTD) even with Mario Kart 8. 

So for MS to "lose" they have to sell even less than that, which I don't think is happening.

Pretty sure X1 is well ahead of the Wii U if you align their sales from launch too and its sales pace should accelerate as it starts to receive heavier hitters.

Pretty much this. Smash 4 will help the WiiU a bit, but it won't magically save it! :S

Smash will obliterate sells in October against everyone on the 3DS though. Yeah I know we're talking about the Wii U.
