I can't tell if you were being serious with that post!

Right?, it was a little open for interpretation... and specially if you take into account that I only own a Wii U have more than 20 games for it. But I am very mad at Nintendo Fans at this moment... so I am not very sure myself how to take my post :D, but I did learned a lot about how moderation and warning works on the site, and made a new friend in the process, so it was worth it

Well, not everyone is going to be aware of that, no?

I already told you that you should stick to Youtube.

Don't you realize what the purpose of that Ubisoft PR is? They want to sell some additional copies of their M-rated games, but they aren't going to do it by treating Wii U owners with respect, but rather the "You guys suck, prove us wrong." way. What this means is that anyone who will buy Watch Dogs (or any M-rated back catalogue Ubisoft game) for Wii U in response to that Yves statement is an idiot.

So im an idiot for wanting to play Watch Dogs, since i have not bought it yet. I will play it on Wii U to enjoy off tv play and or gamepad features.

I'm waiting for the Wii U version too, but I'm going to get it pre-owned because I don't want to support a game from a company who act like they're doing us a favour by letting us buy their products. There are plenty of other games I want like Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2 that will keep me going.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I will never buy a Ubisoft game at launch. All of its games get priced slashed within a couple of months after releasing, on every console. And while there are many good Ubi games, there is yet to be a single one that has made me feel like I absolutely have to have it in my possession ASAP. And all of it's "mature" games have left me with a nasty taste afterward that there was something just not quite right about them.

If the Wii U port of WD turns out to be decent, I'll get it a couple months after launch. If not, I will move on with no hard feelings.

The thing with these threads is if you believe Ubisoft is wrong, then you should not have to make this kind of thread!

If you want to prove Ubisoft wrong then do nothing special, and let them see normal Wii U owners buy their mature game. If you need people to go out of their way to buy the game, then Ubisoft is right.

I just don't feel compelled to take him up on his offer. I mean, I'm not exactly excited about getting after thought ports when I could have gotten them months and/or years earlier on other platforms. If these 3rd party companies made real compelling exclusives for the Wii U that utilized the features of the system, it would be a different story (and no, releasing one game (ZombiU) at launch and stopping there is not gonna cut it). But unfortunately, the video games industry is not really at that point anymore. Publishers release half assed ports because they're cheaper to make, and then cry foul when the user base doesn't bow down and buy it up.

And besides, I would consider something like Rayman and Child of Light to be closer to my definition of mature anyways.

They make another rayman game I'll buy it. Other than that I don't care. Not really a fan of Ubisoft games. Why would you spend 60$ on a game you wouldn't want? if companies have compelling software it will sell.

If you have not heard, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that We do not buy mature games. He also said that Watch Dogs will be our last Triple AAA Mature Game for the Wii U. Well do you want that to happen? Well I know that I dont! So this is it! It is do or die! If we so not show support for Ubisoft and Watch Dogs, guess what? Bye bye third parties for Wii U! So what should we do? So support for Ubi and go out and buy Watch Dogs for Wii U! At least I will ;)

tbh if all the games I get are subpar run as good as on inferior hardware/ make no use of the hardware, run below 30fps on no matter what console or miss modes, get day1 DLC or DLC that was obviously part of the actual game or give additional content to only 1 of the consoles (like AC does with Playstation)... I skip the games anyway.  For me nothing is lost here. I also dont buy Ubisoft Activision or Ea games at all no matter if PS3 PS4 360 etc.  I get a better version of that game on PC 1 year later for 5 bucks thanks to steam.

There is simply no need to buy third party multiplatform games (made by western devs!) on consoles at all because there is more than enough first party games for most systems  and when you have a gaming PC (even if its 4 years old) there is even less reason to buy unpolished overhyped games that use the marketing machinery and lie to customers.

If the games would stop to focus on visuals and would finally start to focus on gameplay (including framerate) and if they would be console exclusive i might buy them (like I bought ZombiU) but as long as devs devalue their games why buy them for 60 bucks when they are not worht 60 bucks? (even to the dev otherwhise they would not be sold for 30 just a few months later)
