i think you're confusing maximum retail sales allowance with "units that will be available and sold on day one".

if anything knowing they are limiting the maximum sold to just 5 million indicates that we shouldnt expect massive numbers from china anytime soon, or ever.

If China are going to put a limit on the amount of consoles a company can sell then we can forget about China being a big player for ANY of the main three.

that's great news for MS. having a limit of 5M consoles mitigates their losses to no more than 2 billion dollars.

They haven't sold 5 million, it's just the maximum limit of how many they can sell lifetime.
