Forums - Gaming Discussion - GameCube vs Xbox, who had better games?

Which had better games?

GameCube 261 83.92%

Xbox 49 15.76%

Total:310

Which system had better games. I say GameCube. I like both though. I believe both GameCube and Xbox are better than the imo overrated PS2.

GameCube had better exclusives and Xbox had better multiplats. But exclusives to me are what matters on whats a better console. Because you can't get that game on any other system but GameCube.

Here are first party games on each system in North America. But I also wanna compare what the company that made the consoles made for the system.

Shenmue 2 & Jet Set Radio Future= Instant win for the xbox for me.

Though i still love Nintendo dearly.

ya but they are ports, so no. plus metroid prime, resident evil 0, 1 remake and 4were all exclusive although 4 turned out to be timed. But it didn't make it to the xbox I think. Also Mario kart double dash,

old skool

Apples and oranges.

The Xbox definitely had games I preferred. However, many of those games are playable on better platforms. There are only a few gems that are exclusive to OG Xbox.

I still have a Gamecube because it has some cool games that never got ported.

Metroid Prime. That is all.

Gamecube, Xbox and PS2 is the correct answer. Every system had high quality exclusive software back then, probably my favorite generation.

REmake almost won it for the gamecube........ but unfortunately, i know its your profile pic, but i wasn't keen on RE 0.

So basically its Shenmue 2 & JSRF vs REmake for me...... thus the xbox just made it past the post.

I say GameCube.  Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Resident Evil Remake, RE4, Pikmin, Mario Party, and others.

Xbox was a nice Media Center.

My 8th gen collection

Wind Waker means automatic win for GC for me, but there are so many others too.
