calling shuhei girly is sexist ?

Yes. Or rather, saying he wouldn't do the challenge because he's "girly" is sexist. I've seen quite a few girls do the challenge and they have no more problems doing it than boys/men so I'm having some issues seeing how it's a girly thing to do.

To me personally, at least, anything that is meant as a lighthearted joke (women preferring, say, Kitchen Chartz to VGChartz ;) ) isn't offensive at all.

But when people start becoming scathing and blaming entire groups for a few individuals' actions ("Oh great, wait until the feminazis start complaining"), then it starts getting uncomfortable and unwelcoming. You can pretty easily tell when a comment is made with hate and disdain as opposed to a mere jest.

I dont see why gender is really that important, personally i dont even see a reason to have gender selectable in the profile section.

This!!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Everywhere a white male goes he is constantly warned about being racist/sexist. It's disgusting.

I don't think those two warnings is specificaly aimed at white males. Being racist and sexist doesn't depend on the color of your skin, or gender.

I see a lot of sexist comments around here so I'm glad the issue is finally being addressed.

there was a thread earlier this week where a guy was asking for proof that blacks were intelligent

had it been a question about women being intelligent i guess it wouldn't have made the number of pages it did

so the definition for sexism or racism is indeed useful and I would suggest to basically sum it up as referring to a person's quality/capacity/talent/etc. as that of a woman/race instead of that of an individual

at the same time it should be allowed to criticize religions and ideologies independtenly of the people that compose it

so you can attack communism, but you can't say communists are morons
