Despite some of the quite frankly appalling posts from both sides in this thread, I'm unlocking it.
It's an important news story, and a pretty worrying trend. It's also been censored on quite a few other websites, and I don't really feel comfortable doing that.
Sexism is not welcome in this thread or any other. Kneejerk baseless accusations of sexism coupled with personal insults are also not welcome in this thread or any other.
Please stay on topic and try to be civil.

It's not an "important story". It's gossip about someone behaving like an asshole in a relationship, something which - sadly - happens millions of times a day all over the world.
The extremely dubious claim for relevance comes from the unproven conjecture that there was a quid-pro-quo, sex for publicity. There is at this point no evidence whatsoever to suggest that was the case.
The "censorship" that you're worried about is the same kind of (self) censorship news media has exercised throughout the modern era in not printing character assassinations, gossip, defamation and private quarrels unless there is some extremely strong reason it is in the public interest to do so.
Why? Because pretty much every single one of us have some enemy out there, and for most of us we have one or two who dislikes us for good reason. In similar fashion for most of us it's easy to zoom in on some episode where it might be possible that we did something unethical in the eyes of a beholder.
That's not enough Kantor, if you want to open that can of worms and have a public discussion scrutinizing whether some girl (who is at best a niche player in video games) was a good and caring girlfriend or not, then you need proof of some actual unethical professional behavior. Not conjecture based on the blog posts of a betrayed boyfriend.
If in doubt, just read the posts after you unlocked the thread and note that a considerable part of the discussion is still centered on whether Quinn was a nice girlfriend etc.
