Since you download the games from MS Store, I am pretty sure that MS is the one providing the server.

Would you say that a rental service is sometyhing that you pay for to get access to a product for a limited period of time?

They are? Interesting, they are definitely getting a kick back then. Based on that it might not have been as simple as Sony thinking it's not a good for consumers (it's not but still). Maybe they would also have issues with integrating the discount/download system of EA Access into their store. It may have clashed with PS+.

Yes, I would. All these services are rental but there are different types of rental and/or how the system is implemented.

Completely agree. I personally thought MS´s original version was better, where I acually was given games for my subscription fee, games I could keep even if I no longer subscribed.

I do realize that the model Sony chose would be the one every company would jump on though. They presented a model where we as subscribers are never owners of the products, making it a better sell for Sony towards 3rd parties. Rental services are never good for the consumer longterm since you pay more for less, but you do get to play games you otherwise would´nt have played.

Now that we have these services, I´d rather see good competition instead of a few controlling the market. That is why I welcome EAA aswell as other services.

That was the exchange wasn't it? Pay a fee a year and get games as long as you keep paying, you can keep playing them.

Yet on your last statement I disagree. See my larger post early on.

Hmm, pie.

by the end of this gen i will have a $50 plus servvice.

you will have Gold 60 Ea 30, ubi 30, t2 30, SE 30, Acti 30 and so on.  Enjoy hundredths of $ a year in extra services.

Ill side with sonys view, their mentality is best pro me pro PS owner.  MS is pro diping in your pocket a dozen times, but you are ok with it as long as they make $.  Or are we pretanding ms is not making $ from this.

If I'm subscribing to all those services, they all must be doing a great job appealing to me. Which is... unrealistic. I would only subscribe to the services that appeal to me.

Also, if I'm paying for all those services. That means I'm getting access to significantly more content than a person only subscribing to PS+. Did you consider that?

I'm okay with MS allowing options. Even some Sony fans want EA Access, but they can't have it because Sony is the arbiter of good values. Yet PS Now is somehow a great value. $15 a month to play FFXIV is also a great value. Go figure!

lol Now is in beta, and its a rental.  What is so hard for you to understand about that ???

ps+ is also a rental, cause you can´t play your games anymore once you stop subscribing ea access is also a rental, the difference from both to psnow is, that you don´t stream your games, which is alot better for the gameplay

Thats not true at all, if I can purchase the game through plus I get a discount on games if I can out right buy the game if there is a yellow discount price, being a playstation+ member also allows games to be purchased or free to keep even if my playstation + account is not payed upkeep

and all that is exactly the same with ea access, with the only difference that when i buy + today, i will not be able to get any of the games that where on + before, on ea access i can play any game in the vault, that will only grow and with ps+ it´s random what games you get, it could be stuff you don´t like, with ea access you know what games are coming

The rest of your points were good and well made. But stop comparing this to PS Now, it's not the same.

It was a response to, "Ill side with sonys view, their mentality is best pro me pro PS owner."

PS Now doesn't represent that so I used it as an example.

Understandable but PS Now isn't the comparable service, PS+ is.

Hmm, pie.

I believe so to. What we have learned during the years is that companies rarely tell the entire truth and there are always other factors behind. It could be that Sony felt it clashed with their own services at a timewhen they really need PS+ and PS Now to take off. It could also be a technical matter, they simplay haven´t the infrastructre for it right now.

Exactly, all four are rental services, with different aspects to them. That is why some of us feel it s very relevant to compare them. Some might say that PS Now is the better offering bcause it has a broader productbase, while EAA is limited to just EA games. Others might prefer EAA because of the price.

The original model for XBLG (I still think it is used on 360) was that you get to keep all the games that you have downloaded while subscribing. That mean, even if I am not subscribing anymore, I still get to keep the games. This also meant fewer games were offered but it was better value for me longterm compared to loosing these games if I stopped subscribing.

EA (desperate for money after their huge losses and massive fails) throws an experiment on a console that tries to sell like desperate. If you look at EA, what do you look at? A company with games that have the same fucking content with the worst one to be FIFA.

Knowing EA practices if this new thing finds success, then you are talking for a big video games crash. They are gonna take to another BAD level. They will deliver unfinished games and half of the content you will find it there. And more is coming.

This announcement came with no surprize. One shitty company will follow the other. Ubi is looking for ways to milk its customers (Just Dance, AC games and the list goes on).

NOW it is on gamers' hand. If these experiments fail, then they won't grow. BUT if the ''smart'' gamers jump in, ops! BYE!

Let's see how stupid or smart the gamers are!!!

So you decide now who is stupid and who is smart? Well done

Wait, as long as the game in question is inside your download list of playstation +games you still get access to the game if you resubscribe that game will still be there.

I AM BOLO

100% lover "nothing else matter's" after that...

ps:

Proud psOne/2/3/p owner.  I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

PS+ is a good value and so is EA Access for people interested in those games.

PS Now though...
