Forums - Nintendo Discussion - New Z.S Samus outfit in SSB4 shows her without the suit <3

I can't say I'm a huge fan of Nintendo going all "sexified." The outfit looks like something that belongs in DOA, not Smash.

Big difference

Also these outfits are not new. They date back to GBA games over a decade old.

Gorgeous. It's just shorts and sports bra though, so it's nothing to get up in arms over.

Exactly, it's not like she's in a bikini or her underwear. Shorts are everyday clothing, and even the upper part covers more of her chest than a traditional bra.

This is quite tame and tasteful by the standards of the industry.

Pretty much this! I feel like some users are crying over nothing, really! :S

Besides the ample cleavage on Kasumi, there's actually not a big difference. And yes I know they're Fusion costumes, but a little pixelized GBA easter egg is a huge difference from a playable outfit in modern day graphics.

There are a number of major differences.

1) Samus's outfit is more practical, it's not that different to what a woman might wear while exercising. The DOA constume is more cosmetic with its frills.

2) Samus's outfit leaves much less skin exposed, particularly at her breasts and thighs. It's less sexualised.

3) Samus's bodily proportions too are less overtly sexualised. Plus I'll bet she doesn't have DOA's absurd boob bounce.
