Good for you, I'm not that into racing games (other than Forza Horizon) so I'll try the PS+ version first.

So you pick the worse game over the best Racer of this year?(not counting MK8)
Logic
DriveClub is at least a Gen ahead of Horizon 2 =)

*Yawn* another alt account.

You must be mistaken me for someone else. You should know it's not the best idea to make hasty generalizations like that, especially when they're flat out wrong! LOL

Oh dear Slade i've seen u many times before in VGC forums but as a lurker! we all know youre an xbox fanboy? aahhh no an xbox fan ;)

Actually good ol' Slade there is one of those multi-console owners.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

I'm going to try the PS+ edition first and if I like it, I might get the retail version.

Its not a racing sim and if I had a PS4 I would only get the PS+ version the whole game will probably end up on PS+ eventually.

How is it not a racing sim?

I guess he sees the game more of an arcade racer than a racing sim like Project CARS, for example.

Its not a racing sim. Its a hybrid sim-arcade racer.

The actual idea behind it is forming clubs with friends and challenging other clubs. For a sim racer, you need to wait for GT 7/ Project Cars.

It's not a hybrid-sim arcade racer its a pure arcade racer since the cars can't be tuned or upgraded.  Also sim racers need to feature at least a couple of real tracks or at least a lot of tracks based on real tracks (Project CARS) another thing that is missing in DriveClub.

Driveclub is a sim-arcade racer due to its physics, though its closer to being a sim racer, atleast from the looks of it.

Sim-racers do not need to have real-life or real-life inspired tracks though, they just need to have realistic car physics. Even arcade racers can have real-life tracks if they want to, doesn't make them a sim. I mean, GT also has tons of tracks which are not real at all, but its still a sim racer.

Nope sim racers need upgradable and tuneable cars since you can do both of those things in real life and its missing in DriveClub.  Also if you want to be a real sim you pretty much need some real life tracks.
