I haven't played a racing game in a long time either so yea I plan to try the PS+ version and then get it.

You must be mistaken me for someone else. You should know it's not the best idea to make hasty generalizations like that, especially when they're flat out wrong! LOL

It will be my PS4 first racing game... 

I'll get the dumbed down PS+ version first and if I really like it (which given I do love me some Evolution Studios racing games), I'll grab the full version.

this is the only real answer...

..physical sales of this game is going to be aweful,.. like 10k.  everyone will call it a flop but that is hardly going to be representitive of the title's performance.   at this point i'm thinking i'll upgrade to the full version but i see no reason to commit until after i play the dumbed-down version.
