My guess would be that they use the Pro service as well as other services to see their competitions numbers and also see public perception of their sales.

For certain, no. But you apparently do, because you called me delusional for indicating they likely do use the data.

I really wouldn't be surprised if they consistently use it as a weekly source of sales to consumers, however.

1) Oh, so you're guessing. Is there any logic supporting your inference on why Sony would even bother using VGC numbers to track their sales? Do you think they won't have internal sales information available on top of their own market analysts?

You seem SO sure that that is the only thing they use it for. I just can't even do this thread anymore. Everybody apparently knows more about the exact information than I do. They know Sony is releasing 100% accurate information. They know Sony has massively more (and relevant) information than VgChartz. They know that Sony does NOT use VgChartz Pro for weekly sales data of their own console, because they clearly would never need to know what their console is selling weekly.

You guys just seem to know so many things, and be certain of so many things, it is quite literally impossible to even counter you, because you refuse to accept anything else is true.

Where are you getting all of this knowledge about the information Sony has? I'd love to see it, so I don't keep babbling on when there is apparently public knowledge about what information Sony uses.

They Said 10M on people's house. So preorder wouldn't qualify, but who knows sony assumed a percentage already delivered.

From your post I would say that you think everyone is mistaken and you right. Everyone disagree that sony relies on vgc for their sale not that they use it.

You keep saying I'm guessing, but you aren't? WHERE is this information that indicates Sony is doing it how you say they are? You have absolutely no clue what information Sony is using, so to say they don't use VgChartz for their own weekly sales is no more a guess than to say they do use it.

Everybody needs to stop saying Sony has this or that or does something in this method as if it is fact. You don't have a damned clue what Sony has, so say you believe that is the case, or seriously just stop posting.

I was completely awed yesterday when somebody told me as a matter of fact that audited financial statements must be correct to the cent, when that literally could not be farther from the truth.
