yeah. overall pc sales
but if u talk about AAA games only its not 90:10 ratio

didnt ubisoft gave some numbers for watch dogs in theire conference call?

For watch Dogs PC 70% was digital, 10% digital on consoles. Of course not all games are available digitally so that pushes the overall share higher.

okay thanks...

id had something about 60% digital in mind

still impressiv.

i bought titanfall for pc as reatil copie (10 bucks for the steel book edition) thats why i still like retail. so much better prices

if u want the same price for digital u have to wait 1 year

Not surprised! The last PC game i bought at retail was Rayman Origins in 2012 if I'm not mistaken!

2012 is pretty recent really. Last boxed game I bought was a Guild Wars collection around 2008-ish

To be honest, in my entire life I bought only 11 boxed PC games!  9 of them were bought between 2000-2006!

i don't believe it. no way retail makes up a full 8% of the market.

That's what I was thinking. 8% actually sounds pretty high. I can't remember the last time I heard of someone actually buying a physical disc for a PC game.

I'm surprised it's not 100%.

The reason most people buy digital on PC is because there's no reason to buy physical copies anymore. Every digital copy is packed with an Origin or Steam code, so the game disc is useless.

If there was any place I thought I would find support for physical copies of games, it was here. I buy tons of PC games, and will always seek out a physical copy first. How else are you supposed to decorate your gaming room?

Ok I did my part, I bought No More Heroes, but they were out of Zach and Wiki.

Ok got Zach and Wiki, now if I could just finally finish Twilight Princess so I can play all these Wii games I got waiting. And no I won't buy Okami.

DNF, now there is a game that should have been scrapped completely. Reminds me of a kid whose been in school for 12 years and still doesn't know what he wants to do. At one point you just need to man up and get a job.

I never buy console games digitally, unless i don't have the option and yet i buy every PC game digitally, thanks to Steam.

Why? Because you can't trade/resell PC games. Console games are tradebale though and you have less room on a console compared to a PC.

fyi, on steam you can share your games

I know. But i meant the physical games on PC which you can do little with and Steam is so much cheaper.

I do not have a gaming PC so I do not use Steam. I hear the argument that Steam is cheaper a lot. When I check the new games are as much as on Amazon and the old are as cheap as in the budget-bin in the store. What am I missing?
