Quick query and forgive my ignorance kind Nintendoists but who the heck will buy this game? You have a sequel whose predecessor was released on two different platforms, and whose current audience comprises mainly of Nintendo fantasts (early adopters who only buy Nintendo first party titles) who most likely never played the first one. 

Is this the worst third-party acquisition of all time? Sure sounds like it.

Not many people will want it on the Wii U thats for sure. Some people will buy it because its published by Nintendo not because its their cup of tea. I say 150k first week, 500k lifetime

Well the game comes with the prequel, so anyone who wants to play that first still has the chance.
Btw i played the first one and i think a lot of other people as well.
Many people own a gaming PC or another console next to their wii u.

Umm, I will gladly buy it! I loved the original Bayonetta for a number of reasons ( heh) and I'm sure that Bayo 2 won't disappoint!

If that logic was vast, then WiiU must not get any 3rd party support. Bayo2 will open new gates for WiiU and will show a different aspect of the console.

Also, it will attract new users! YES, it will! I am pretty sure we gonna receive an amazing title.

LT sales: 2-3 million! Till 2016: more than 1 million! That requires GOOD marketing!!!

If game fails, it is on Nintendo for not promoting it!

Lets cross off the potential audience.

- Casuals. Nope, no chance. People who bought this for their 7 year old kids will not gift them this.

-Nintendo fantasts. Maybe but unlikely. These hardcore fans only buy Nintendo hardware and only for traditional Nintendo titles. Bayo 2, is in all essence, still a third-party exclusive.

-Cross-buyers. I suspect revenue will come from this group of hardcore gamers who always buy multiple consoles.

I can appreciate that many of you will personally respond by saying you will buy it. I get that, but the implication of my question is more broad. Will this game be bomb of the year?

Me. The prequel being on other platforms is a moot point given that it is also included with Bayo 2.
