THE LAST OF US SURVIVES FOR THIRD WEEK

‘The Last of Us: Remastered’ (-40%) remains unopposed at the top of the All Formats Chart this week.

The PS4 edition of the critically acclaimed title has now been No1 for three weeks in succession, equalling the unbroken 3 week runs of both ‘Watch Dogs’ and ‘Titanfall’ and bettering the 2 weeks of previous Sony PS4 exclusive ‘Infamous: Second Son’. ‘Watch Dogs’ (-22%) holds on to No2 for a third week, while ‘Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition’ (+1%) jumps 2 places to No3 (its joint highest position of the year so far).

A 7% rise in sales propels ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ up four places to No4, helped by strong sales of the Xbox One edition. Like its Xbox 360 partner, the PS3 edition of Minecraft (-1%) also jumps 2 places, up from No7 to No5. ‘The Lego Movie Videogame’ (+6%) is a non-mover at No6 ahead of ‘FIFA 14’ (-21%) and ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ (-27%) that both slip 4 places to No’s 7 and 8 respectively. ‘Battlefield 4’ (-12%) hangs on to No9 for a third week, while ‘Titanfall’ (+6%) creeps back into the Top 10 at No10. The only new entry to make an impression this week is ‘Risen 3: Titan Lords’ from Deep Silver which debuts at No12 in both the PS3 and Xbox 360 Full Price Charts.

Congrats TLOU, ~18.5k and still going strong! XBO sales are weird, a few games are climbing well while the others are dropping off to balance it.

Eh.. At least MK8 didn't drop too much this week! Also, I'm really impressed by the TLOU: Remastered!

Xbox 360 Titanfall up 6 places from last week too. Has there been some sort of special on for TF last week?

Good job with the Last of Us, 3rd week and still selling pretty well for a game no one wanted. If the rest of the world is like the UK with TLOUR we might see 1 million before September. But I do feel that UK and USA are perhaps different because they were the only places where 360 really dominated PS3 it's likely that those 2 markets have a higher proportion of PS4 "converts". Most of the other countries where PS3 dominated are probably mostly seeing PS3 owners buying PS4 and no so many Xbox360 converts, at least not at this early stage.

Poor lonely MK8. At least it's holding up quite well and preventing Wii U from being an absolute non-entity in the UK. It's only somewhat of a non-entity.
