This is excellent. If it were any better people wouldn't buy games they'd just freeload off their friends.

Are you seriously suggesting that the developers should allow your friend to download and install the whole game? Are you people crazy? |
No, like demo access. You realize they can do stuff like that right? That's what EA is doing with their service, full game trial for 2 hours. Download the file but then I have to auhorize him to play it with those 10 trial keys they announced. Is it really that radical an idea?
I'm still struggling to find the real catch here.
60 min per session is a little annoying but definitely more than managable if you can start as many sessions a day as you want. Having to stream it is not ideal, but what the heck, it's free so why complain? You'll probably only be able to use it, if your friend isn't playing on his system or if you're playing a multiplayer game together, but I guess that was to be expected.
All in all it sounds like a pretty awesome feature.

This is MUCH better than that, which is obviously why Sony turned EA down. Invite a friend, DONE.
The PS5 Exists.

Your internet connection is good enough for "play as you download" but not good enough for streaming?
Either way, you are taking away the convenient part of the service from both SONY and the consumers. This feature is great because of its instantaneity.

with the 2.0 update "sometime this fall" - nobody here can give you a more exact date

The other option would be downloading a 30GB+ file every time you want to use it...
Seems reasonable. Any idea what happens when the session ends? Does it boot the other player until the next session is initialized or will a pop up appear asking if you want to start another like when you listen to pandora for a while and it asks if you are still listening?
