I'm not sure why Nintendo even released a Wii Sports for the Wii U. Wii Sports on the Wii was the very definition of a fad. It never had a chance on the Wii U.

Wii Fit U and Kinect Sports (XB1) are also bombs. And Just Dance is declining big time every year.

Yes, and it's NOT the bomb of the generation!

I know my copy isn't part of those numbers along with many others who purchased each sport separate when it was first released digitally

Not everyone is interested in all the sports, maybe just Tennis or Golf.

Have you? 3.2 million in sales so far is very good for a new ip!

I'm suspecting that was an attemt at stealth trolling, albeit not very stealthily.

Considering i woke up one morning and saw Wii Sports Club automatically downloaded to my WiiU, i'd guess it would happen to every other WiiU owner. Thus, it has been downloaded 6,9 million times, no?

Yea but had like no marketing and was barely mentioned at all by Nintendo. Plus, most people already have the original game so.. It's definitely a bomb and is one of the worst, but given the circumstances I wouldn't really say it's the biggest because it was kinda expected.

I don't think anybody expected this game to do all that great at retail, Nintendo included. Neither Wii Fit U nor wii play U did anything like their predecessors. While the original Wii could sell to the casual crowd, the Wii U can not. It appeals to the Nintendo fan.

Wii sports Club is not a new game either, it's more of an HD update of an eight year old game. It's been available a good while digitally and no one except Nintendo knows what kind of revenue it's brought in. And I'm sure this game cost next to nothing to make.

Then again, if people knew it was out a lot more people would buy it.
