The game will be on PC, PS4 and XOne. Out of those three, I only have a PS4, and therefore couldn't care less how the game runs on other two.

Well that's a stupid excuse. If you truly wanted gamers to have the best possible experience you would have gotten the best out of each respective consoles. Doesn't matter if the Witcher is primarily a PC game, the fact that it's on consoles mean they should at least put some effort into it.

Exactly. It should be PC > PS4 > XB1, not PC > PS4/XB1.

This is and opportunity to expand their audience though.  This will be my first Witcher game and I wish PS4 would get some optimization but I guess I'll settle for the more stable/higher framerate.

Also aren't these consoles and their PC like architecture supposed to make it easy to optimize so this just seems like laziness

I'm still getting the PS4 version. As long as the game isn't broken I'm good.
