Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Legend of Zelda: Nintendo are afraid to ad voices ?

This topic has been discussed several times between LOZ fans. Some people saying they should add voice acting, others are saying no it should remain the same.

If u want some Skyward Sword reviews, even a few in Twilight princess, you will hear the reviewers asking for voice acting. Others have said it might ruin the game cuz, well, music is a huge part of LOZ.

The interesting thing that made me discuss this is Hyrule Warriors.

I have seen a couple of gameplay videos and interestingly, there is voice acting for the narrator that talks before each mission.

Another thing is, the cutscenes dont feel like Ocarina of time or any other text based games, they are actual cutscenes with those normal LOZ reactions' sounds or whatever. The cutscenes are just mind blowing and I felt like someone has set the voices on mute.

So I think Nintendo is afraid to add voices. They have like one shot at this: either fans will like the voice acting or completely critize the voices.

What do u think ?

I think they should do it in Zelda U and, perhaps, add a mute voices option.

Yeah the VA in Zelda Musou is retarded. It is so good in the narration parts and then in cutscenes and in game chats its just the typical Zelda moans and it sounds like shit... except Links fairy, shes fucking kawaii as hell

Oh, and Im pro VA in Zelda U, especially if it has dual audio... which is weird coz Im a Dubs>Subs guy.

I sure hope so.

nope.

I can't believe I haven't thought of that!

Tradition, my friend. It's important early on in Civ V.

That aside, I'd rather Link stay the silent embodiment of the avatar he is and stay that way. Everyone else should talk their heads off. Maybe.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

nooo

Just as long as Link stays silent, I wouldn't have much of a problem with everyone else having legitimate voice acted dialogue. I don't care either way though because Zelda has been without voice acting for so long and dialogue without VA's allows me to interpret a character's personality the way I want to. However, Link has to stay silent without question. I don't want to risk Zelda U turning into Metroid: Other M because we all know how well that turned out...

no voices, it's charming the way it is.
