Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox 360 Games of 2008

This post is going to highlight all 360 retail releases coming out in 2008. It will only include titles that will not be released also on the PS3 and/or Wii, which includes any titles that can be played on those two consoles through backwards compatibility, i.e. Samurai Warriors 2 and Bully. Any games that share retail space with a PC version be will be noted on the game under what other platform it is on.

I will not include Xbox Live Arcade games here. If I feel up to it, I will create a second topic for them.

As games are released I will give them their metacritic scores so people can come here for recommendations. This is a work in progress and will start off small. I will work on it in the coming weeks.

You will notice that games are in three colors. Green games are games you can expect to be released, based on history and/or recent media. Yellow games are games that are a bit iffy, because they have not recieved any media in 9-12 months. Red games are not likely to come out either because of localization or because there has been 18 months of silence from developers. Enjoy!

Note*This game is in active development. This could cause development to cease eventually, but hopefully not.

Dawn of Fantasy-TBA 2008
Developer: Reverie Entertainment
Publisher: TBA
360/PC

Over a thousand years ago, in a world much, much different than ours- a world where creatures that only our imagination create roamed the wild and the tamed lands. A place where Man lived, and Elf, Dwarf and Orc. A place where magic flows in the air, where hidden and forgotten civilizations return to life and where Dragons roam the skys. It is a place that like everyother, has those who live in it who seek peace, and those who seek to make war. Those who seek to make allies of their neighbors and those who seek to conquer and smash. The choices that effect an entire world lye in your hands. The power to create, conquer, establish and rule a powerful city. The power to take a fledgling nation and through truth and justice or treachery and power- conquer the world. The decisions that will make a world or break it, are in your hands.

Note*These pics were uploaded to the net around January of 2007 and this game was aiming for a Q1 2007 release when they were put on the net. This could be a completed game for all I know but I can't find reviews anywhere. As you'll notice, there is no publisher for this game and that could be the holdup.

I'm going to go ahead and pre-empt the reports I know are going to be made for that post: leave that crap out of this thread.

Consider this a warning for you and anyone else thinking of making a stupid comment like that.

I'll work on the paragraph structure in my first edit tonight. I just wanted to post this before this site saw some technical difficulties. I can't do cross platform between PS3 and 360 because I already have approximately 60-80 exclusives that PS3 and Wii aren't getting. It's a long list as it is. You'd be surprised at just how many titles I have to run with on this list.

Oh and I already got a mod to agree to the stickying, otherwise I wouldn't have done it. If you'd like to be that kind mod so I don't have to bother any of the others I'd be grateful.

Lets get Banjo Kazooie, APB, and Left 4 Dead up there straight away please. Twesterm can you please sticky this thread for now, and unsticky it if he doesn't keep updating it?

This thread is looking great Onyxmeth. Keep it up.

Gears of War 2 and Ninja Gaiden 2 look very impressive. I guess I won't be playing that PS3 all year after all!

Thanks Onyxmeth.
