To me it would be better to focus on pollutants and how they harm our body(something that actually hurts our health and we can change), vs global warming/climate change (something that probably isn't caused by us, but rather the sun, and something we can't actually fix or change) |
Sorry but global temperatures and solar cycles have been heading in the exact opposite direction for about 40 years now. Additionally, you can not blame the Milankovitch cycles either because while there is a clear correlation between them and climate, they too have been going their seperate ways since the 60's. As far as I can tell the recent spike in greenhouse gases is the most probable cause for the extremely rapid and unusual disturbance in global climate and none of the alternative explanations make any sense. It merely seems to be the most logical conclusion as far as I can tell.

with temperatures cooling and rising, ice caps growing and shrinking, and green house gasses only going up, it doesnt seem very logical to me. Not to mention logical does not mean its correct. Especially if we are going to try and make massive changes to our economy to try and fix it. Like i said, we should focus on real issues we can fix, like actual pollution that causes human health problems.

I'm sorry but have you done any research into this matter whatsoever? I say this because the bolded statement leads me to believe that you haven't. Just because more greenhouse gases are being added to the atmosphere doesn't mean that climate will stop running in cycles because solar cycles and Milankovitch cycles didn't suddenly stop effecting the planet. Additionally, greenhouse gases do indeed have other consequences for our world and our health. The biggest concern is that the excess carbon dioxide (along with sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides) is being absorbed by the oceans which in turn raises their acidity. You do realize that aquatic organisms are extremely susceptible to changes in PH right? What about the prospect of our fish stocks collapsing, should that not be a concern for us all?

Feel free to show me what you know, you have that option. I have seen articles saying ice caps are growing, http://dailycaller.com/2013/12/16/global-warming-satellite-data-shows-arctic-sea-ice-coverage-up-50-percent/ . I linked the artcile about the bad record keeping too.
I mentioned we should be focused on actual pollution too. so whats the problem here? I refuse to say that humans are destroying the earth as we know it? Better to focus on actual pollution than the scam known as global warming, sorry i meant climate change since global warming has been dropped in favor of climate change, you know since data didnt back up the global warming, or was it global cooling from the 1970's. so hard to keep up with the ways we as humans seem to be heating and cooing the earth in cycles. almost as if its natural. but i know its the green house gasses.
I repeat, it would be better if all this energy, money, time, and resources was used to educate people on local pollution, and pollution that causes health problems, instead of "climate change." "global cooling/global warming/climate change" all they do is distract from real enviromental problems.
