Fuck yes! Themes!

I think it will definitely come out before december. Mid October perhaps?

Can't wait to try out share play and finally switch the theme on my PS4!

I figured, with game sizes what they are and all. I think the feature may be somewhat overblown if that is the case though... With latency and lesser video quality, the overall experience will probably take a hit. Still, it will be a nice way to try out a game with a friend or demo a title you're interested in. Will definitely be checking it out as soon as it drops either way.

I don't think this feature can be praised enough. I suspect the video output stream quality to drop to Youtube 360p/480p resolutions for the stream. Latency can be a problem for some but not all but in time the service should also improve. I am stoked for this feature as its the most deceptive pro consumer feature ever conceived and really is an epitome of their social console policy. 

Funny enough, this would have been easier if they just made every game have a demo lol, but to be able to play what your friends have as a way of trying games out, or if you are desperate enough to finish them... is completely unheard of.

On a side note, I think they will also finally let us use the touchpad in the browser.

It's definitely intriguing for sure. It will be nice to share with just anyone. I do miss the policy of having your digital games on 2 consoles and being able to play them both simultaneously like with the PS3 though! I feel like a lot of people just think they're going to be able to play a game like Destiny for free without having to buy it, but I'm not sure how realistic that will be.

I'm mainly interested to hear more about how it works. If you can hop onto a single player game to help a friend on a hard part, that would imply you're just steaming directly from their console and are basically controlling it, right? But, if you are going to play a multiplayer game with them, everything will need to be separate so that you can each control your own character. Each scenario seems very different to me, the latter feeling like a free 60-minute PlayStation Now trial with unlimited sessions. Regardless, I hope it comes out soon so we can all see it in its practical application :). Glad to see Sony is finally adding new features with their updates, that's for sure.

Edit: I wonder if this will make it easy to boost trophies? It seems like if a friend was nearing the completion of a difficult trophy that they could just invite you in when they earn it so that you both get it.

if it was limited to 2-3 a day i think yoshida would have said so.   ...you know, because sony aren't deceptive asses. 

to me this sounds like pandora/netflix version of the "are you still there?" question.  basically unlimited but every hour the host has to acknowledge they are still there to make game sharing possible,.. but too annoying to be practical.  i mean, i sure as hell wouldn't sit at my ps4 clicking okay every hour so a friend could mouch my game.  i'd tell him to go buy it himself unless i was actually using the feature as intended to "shareplay". 

Well its business and if they allow access to the whole game or most of the game ( more than an hour) Sony would basically be stealing from devs and pubs by giving you too much access to a game you did not buy. I guess the idea is to give you a taste of the game, a demo program of a full game is more like it.

Fall starts in September, so this update might be out in 2 weeks, hopefully by Destiny launch, hopefully thay are aimig to hit the Destiny launch week, or the week prior.

now give me folders, psn wishlist, psn user reviews, a profile page and activity feed more facebook like, a pandora app, and an amazon cloud music app and i'm set for the gen on things i know i want.

The 60 minute restrain seems silly, but as others have pointed out, it must be to avoid abuse.

Still, it sounds great. More value for PS+.
