Warner Bros. could buy Xbox Entertainment Studios

According to the Hollywood Reporter Xbox Entertainment Studios might be closing down but it is not necessarily the end of the studios.

The Hollywood Reporter claim that sources have told them that Microsoft is shopping for a new home for Xbox Entertainment Studios and have had preliminary talks with Warner Bros. A Warner Bros. spokeswoman told The Hollywood Reporter that the studio is “constantly having preliminary discussions regarding business opportunities with numerous companies at any given time. A conversation is just that — a conversation.”

If the potential buy out was to go ahead it is likely Warner Bros. would merge XES with Machinima however both declined to comment on the situation. Microsoft announced the huge cuts to the company last month with XES being shut down and as many as 18,000 staff being laid off.

If I a correct warner brothers owned Atari in the early 80s. Atari revival confirmed? I hope so! They made that awesome godzilla fighting game.

So the big three would be Sony, Nintendo, and Warner Bros.? Sounds weird. Hopefully Sega and Atari get back into the game to balance it out.

Xbox entertainment studios isn't about video games, it's where they made those halo shows.

Xbox Entertainment Studios had nothing to do with game development, they were just a seperate media spinoff.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that would mean Time Warner would own the Xbox division if this were true, would it? I don't like this, at all.
