The Last of Us and Ocarina of Time are so freaking overrated it pains me.

How are games like Crash Bandicoot and Sonic The Hedgehog on the list when the other games in their trilogies are far superior?

Very definitely. Absolute dearth of 3rd and 4th gen games in there.

Came here to say the same thing. TLoU deserves to be on the list, but not at the top. GTA V really shouldn't be top ten, either. It was a good game, but great? Will it really shape gaming any more than earlier games in the series?

Okami honestly deserves to be higher, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 has absolutely no place on that list.

Ocarina of Time should probably still be #1, based purely on how influential it was. Failing that, I could see Super Mario Bros., Super Mario 64 or ICO at #1. I can't think of many other games that have had such a singularly big influence on how games are made.

Tales of Vesperia should be #1. Fuck the Last of Us and that potty mouth little bitch!

Also where is Valkyria Chronicles? That game is easily #2

It's not that bad of a list. I've seen a lot worse. At least GTA wasn't no.1.

Nintendo is fairly well represented, pretty sure they have the most games of any publisher on the list.

Zelda is a bit overrated and the 3D Marios a bit underrated. Wind Waker is not a better game than Galaxy. DKC2 and Mario 3 should be on the list too IMO.

"Cinematic" games are overrated on the list, but to be expected from Empire Magazine (it's a movie mag, no?).  

I can't find Ghost Trick anywhere in that list.

Outside of that though good list I like it.

I'd agree with most of the games on the list being there. The ordering tends to be subjective in these lists so I simply ignore it.

It's also a case of how do you rate older games? Many of the old greats that made the Top 10 like FFVII, OoT and even Goldeneye, are mechanically horrible to play now, so balancing old school nostalgia with objective rating is very difficult to do.
