I made a thread back in January stating that the X1 will carry US and Europe by Q1 2015. I was right about Microsoft cutting the price to 399$ and gaining more ground in the US and Europe.. But I was wrong about it completly outselling the PS4 and it seems unlikely that by Q1 2015 X1 will outsell PS4 in those regions. So I acknowledge that I was partially wrong.

But allow me to make a new prediction which I'm certain will turn out to be true this time. I predict that by Q1 2016, Xbox One will outsell the PS4 in USA 3:1. in Europe 2:1. And Japan will be 1:1 ratio it can go either way.  Now before you leave a negative comment please let me explain why I think this will happen. the Xbox One has so many exclusive games coming out, Halo remastered, Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Rise of the Tomb Raider etc. Those are AAA games that will do a lot of damage against the PS4. It is true that PS4 will have Uncharted 4 along with some decent Indie games but I doubt that it will be enough to compete with the Xbox One exclusives..  Now of course that alone will not make my prediction happen.. It would be absurd if i were to claim that. So on top of that Microsoft will bundle the console with FIFA 15/FIFA 16 with a reduced price in the European markets which will appeal to gamers there. And Call of Duty Bundles in the US where majority of Americans love playing COD games.  Those crazy bundle deals along with the exclusive games I mentioned will make my prediction accurate.  After all it's always about the games at the end of the day.  Please do not misunderstand me, I think the PS4 is an outstanding console. I'm not a hater at all, I own both consoles.  But I'm certain that my prediction will be accurate.

What do you think? Am I right?

UPDATE: You guys may disagree with me that is totally fine but there is no need for personal attacks, so keep it classy folks.  And as for as Destiny Bundle helping the PS4 it may be true in Europe but in America Bungie games are way more well known on Xbox and hence it will do better on Xbox One despite the bundle.

Of course Bungie has a well known history on the xbox they were exclusive for how many years? Destiny is doing extremely well in single pre-orders and bundles on the PS4 via Amazon and say what you will it's been pretty accurate thus far. I know I also have a few die hard XB friends that are switching to PS4 when Destiny drops... I think you are underestimating the pull Destiny will have on the PS4, I think we are going to see a Watchdog effect but the difference is the numbers will be bigger and will actually have legs. Then you have other exclusives like The Order, LBP 3, Drive Club, Blood Born these will be huge! HellBlade which has not been ruled out for XB1 but as it stands now they have not worked on it yet so if it happens it really will not be anytime soon. The new silent hill apparently is being published by Sony so the chances of that heading to another console anytime soon is remote as well.

As the PS4 continues to roll along you are going to see it get more and more exclusives in the form of full on titles, content or timed exclusivity.

Looking back I realize how wrong I was with my prediction. Everyone thought I was just kidding around but I was indeed being serious, I was still under the impression that Microsoft was the same aggressive company as they were during the Xbox 360 era. I was wrong.

I trust no one, not even myself.

MS were plenty aggressive with price cuts and buying exclusivity, they just haven't had anywhere near enough to offer

Wow what a bump! And wow at OP’s prediction. Europe is Sony land. Xbox was never going to win. It’s mostly because of Europe that PS3 was able to catch up the way it did and basically end in a tie between both platforms last gen. For the most part, Xbox is a platform that will always be most popular in USA and that’s not enough to win.

Wow this was quite the read. Even with xbox x releasing it has no chance of winning Q1 next year. Hell it won't even with this quarter. Ps4 is just too good.

Nah, they could have done so much more to get/fund exclusives.
