Forums - Gaming Discussion - RUMOR: The Wii U will be getting a big 'Remastered' game in 2015

What do you think?

Majora's Mask 208 25.97%

Eternal Darkness 89 11.11%

Super Mario Sunshine 157 19.60%

Super Mario Galaxy 87 10.86%

Pokemon Snap 28 3.50%

Xenoblade Chronicles 56 6.99%

Other 93 11.61%

See Results 80 9.99%

Total:798

If it was 3DS I would say it was Majora's Mask, but since it's Wii U, I would imagine something from the Wii/GCN eras as redoing those textures will be less effort then all the remodeling for a HD MM. If I would hazard a guess, I would say Skyward Sword sans motion controls. Miyamoto had mentioned how people didn't like playing a whole adventure with them and there was plenty of feedback about how much better the art style would look in HD. And they would want it to have a second chance at doing bigger sales whilst also acting as an advertisement for the upcoming Wii U game (SSHD early 2015, LoZU xmas 2015). It's either that or a re-release of the Metroid Prime Trilogy to quell the desires of Metroid fans until the next big Metroid title, or if they are really daring, the black sheep Mario game; Super Mario Sunshine.

You kidding me? The N64 analogue beats the 3DS analogue any day of the week.

Really? If you aren't joking please pick up a N64 controller right now and tell me how to it is better then then 3DS circle pad

The 3DS analogue may be more sturdy, but it doesn't feel as natural as the N64 Analogue. It always feels like something is off.

Heh, since it first appeared on the Intellivision, more than 30 years ago, the circle pad still is source of love-hate, it's difficult to weight its pros and cons compared to sticks, sometimes even a same gamer can love it for some games and hate it for some others.

I feel like OoT and MM are meant for controllers. Which is why OoT 3D didn't sit well with me. And Im sure I am not alone in this sentiment.

I'd take a 3DS over that horrible N64 controller every day.

Mario Party 2's wind-up helicopter race!

Metroid prime or Xenoblade are the likely candidates. If its Zelda MM, Zelda U is completely delayed. I expect MM on the 3DS.

I do not think it's any Zelda or Mario game. I bet by Eternal Darkness, and my dream would be super metroid.

The same guy who leaked Devil’s Thrid and Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire is at it again. Nico. A has stated on Twitter that the Wii U is getting a big “remastered” game in 2015.

Without more information, I'm just going to take this as "stab in the dark" material. If it's meant to be by Nintendo, then narrowing the field somewhat might make me more willing to think it's more than an educated guess. If it's meant to be third party, then saying so would at least go some way towards making me think there might be something there, and specifying the publisher, or the year that the original game released, or something like that, would make me really curious.

Is the Wii U going to get some sort of "remastered" game? Probably. And that's why I don't trust this rumour.

And no, neither Devil's Third nor Pokemon ORAS are enough to suggest this guy is truly leaking inside info. Devil's Third was a title that was being developed for other platforms, before suddenly going silent. Guessing it would be a Wii U exclusive was a good guess, but a few people had already speculated on it by the time this guy 'leaked' it. Pokemon ORAS was pretty much a given, yet people seemed to act as though he made some great revelation by hinting at them by saying there'd be two more Pokemon titles at E3... after saying that there'd be a big Pokemon Wii U title at E3. The track record rests on a comment about a third party title being Wii U exclusive and playing somewhat like Bayonetta 2... and I wouldn't say that Devil's Third is that much like Bayonetta 2.
