I know a friend of a friend who has an Xbox 1, I also know someone who owned a 360 last gen who swore of consoles altogether and has gone PC only, and I know 2 folks who were MS last gen but have PS4's now.

Simple answer is usually right and that would be that they are just xbox dedicated fans that are lying.

If "my friends play on xbox" their argument.  Or are they really into snap and kinect.  Because honestly I was PS3 only majority of last gen.  Had 360 early but wasn't intersted in Halo (not generally a shooter guy, well actually I'm no where near a shooter guy) so I sold it and never got it back.  What made me buy an Xbox One is TV integraion and voice control.  Because i knew i would have my PS4 in my man cave for gaming and my Xbox ONe in living room for guest and my wife (she loves voice control and tv integration).  Happy wife happy life

People are ashamed to buy an XBox One so they pretend to have friends with XBox One's, just buying it so they can play with them.

Surprisingly all my psn 'friends' have a ps4 (or ps3), weird coincidence.
(Dunno about my xbl 'friends', my 360 has only been used offline since 2013)
So yeah all my 'friends' have ps4s!

Real life friends, well I'm 40 with kids. 1 has turned back to PC, 1 has a ps4 but is more into handhelds nowadays, 1 has a ps3 but only watches blu-ray, rest doesn't play games and their kids don't have the money to buy new consoles. (They want a ps4 to play Destiny, lots of hype for that game)

Same here, I don't know anyone who has an Xbox One, but several with PS4s, and also a few with a Wii U.

Feel sorry for the people who haven't had the chance to even try the Xbox One, I know a bunch of people bash a certain console without even have played it or owned it. Sad truly. I mean at least give the console a try at a friends house or at a game store (they usually always have demo units). Tying yourself down to one console never made sense to me.

Side note: 90% of my friends have an Xbone or will be getting one in the future. Only a few have decided to go to PS4 (though that small percent happens to be a couple of good friends who I'm trying to convince to get an Xbox One)

1st why would you try to convince someone to get an Xbone right after saying its sad to tie into one system. 2nd I did try Xbox One and traded it in (check my gamer ID PoonieG4) due to the fact I am lucky to have a 66 inch TV and can notice the difference in resolution.  I had a PS4 anyway so after my hype for Titanfall subsided (I was hard on that game for about a month) I realised i don't play any other xbox games and traded it in to get a new PS3 and proceeded to play my backlog on it.

Thats pretty amazing, I know two people who have Xbox One and have seen it in one of their households and the one I had and traded in.
