How about next year it's used all its cards (MK, Smash, 3D Mario, 2D Mario, Donkey Kong, Wii Fit) and the baseline lowers because the last remaining games that will move hardware (Zelda) will be in the holiday?

No games, decent baseline. Nintendo is likely happy for July all things considered and the legs of Mario Kart in keeping the system above 50k week to week WW.

It's "good" in a way that earning $10,000 annual salary is good ... if you only earned $5000 the previous year.

This year honestly is kind of more disheartening. At least last year you could say "well there's no games!" and that was literally true, the Wii U had NSMBU, Zombi U, and Nintendo Land in Nov 2012 and then literally nothing but LEGO City until Pikmin 3 the following August. 

But this year it has Mario 3D World, Zelda: WWHD, Pikmin 3, Wii Fit U, a better/cheap bundle, DKC: TF, AND Mario Kart 8 and the baseline looks like its headed back down to a mediocre 65-70k for a normal month (way below the GameCube). 

It's sad to say, but I think it's pretty much over for the Wii U. It'll get its token bounce from Smash and then ride off to its deathbed as 2015 goes along. A shame because at E3 2014 I finally saw some fight from Nintendo and some legit good games like Bayonetta 2 and Splatoon are likely to sell nowhere what they deserve. 

Token bounces that coincide with the holidays make for massive token bounces. Should Nintendo play their cards right, the 3DS version of Smash will lead to the Wii U version being a smashing success for the holidays.

I'm betting Wii U will break 50k when Smash for Wii U comes out in Japan.

well everything can be system sellers

like sunset bayo 2 batman bloodbourne yoshi fable crackdown 3 any of them can move harware it just depends if the people interested want it when the game comes

well theres rumors of xenoblade x and splatoon for summer :P

Can't imagine Xenoblade coming in summer or Splatoon pushing consoles.

5K is only the increase sales next year.

Wii U sales aren't 20K on week?

Obvious, if you said:

First week: 83K

Second/Third/Fourth: 0K

Is natural.

June: 140,000 dived 5 = 28,000

July: 83,000 divided 4 = 20,750

After 2 month, there is still nothing to expect.

well xeno has a fanbase and splatoon is a wild card

all they need to do is have big marketing pushesh for them
