Damn it, man! I was expecting this thread to be about the new Doom game!

Except, the Wii was supported by third parties despite the very real power gap. The Wii was hardly neglected, it got COD, it got Skylanders, it got exclusive Sonics, hell the only games it didn't get were games it couldn't feasibly run, or games that had come out after its short life time. To say the Wii was neglected is misguided, in reality, it got way more support then its hardware should've allowed because of its userbase. Because the userbase was too much to ignore. It was only after publishers realizes they couldn't make much money from supportting the Wii, they dropped it which was after Nintendo basically dropped the Wii as well. Why would 3rd parties continue to downport games to the Wii, after Nintendo stopped releasing major exclusives for it.

With the PS4, its directly evident, its the most powerful so that can't be a valid reason anymore, and probably the easiest to develop for.

Their really isn't a precendent for this on another console.
