Not sure I understand you man... You could already play RE4 (the gc version) on the wii prior to the one the made like re4. So, you would both get it and it would suck hard?

hehe, ill try and explain better.

If they remade it like re4, i would get it, because the wii is perfectly suited to that style of gameplay.

However, the original re0 gameplay wouldnt translate to wii very well, there wouldnt be any good use of the wii mote imo, if they made the gameplay the same.  Therefore it would be exaclty the same as the gc version.   In re0, you auto aim, theres no manual aiming, so aiming in a re0 remake would still have auto aim, so you wouldnt use ir aiming.

Re4 was the same as the gc version, but the wii controls added something extra, and imo made it a much better game.

Hehe does that make more sense?

I realised after i said it that re4 was also on gc, and ppl might wonder why id like one game on the wii but not the other.

Considering RE0 used 4th person view typical of early Resident Evil Games it really wouldn't offer any benefit to the Wii to simply remake it as it is, it would need redone with RE4 controls, which would probably take away from the game as it was.

I'm sure they're trying to get their money's worth out of Zero like they did with 4 since both games were financial dissapointments. Still I would have rather seen a remake of a game the GC hadn't gotten as this just feels like treading water.

It's also discouraging for the possibility of an RE5 port to the Wii.

not seeing how this would hurt the chances of getting a RE5 port... if anything they are trying to firm of the Wii's RE fanbase so a RE5 port would sell better. You gotta think a RE5 port would sell at least 500k, and that would make a buttload of money for a port.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

RE 0

zero sense for me, why not 2? or a new RE?

 I approve this post.

I just played through this part of the timeline in Umbrella chronicles, I'm surprised how well Umbrella chronicles improved on RE0.

I watched RE0 on youtube tonight to see if was worth my time to pick up and play through. The game looks horrendously bad, so unless they make it play more like RE4 then I'll end up skipping the Wii version as well.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

For the people asking for RE2. RE0 might actually be a good sign. It's just a random thought, but RE2 would need a true remake with new art assets and a different game engine(probably the RE4 engine) to be worthwhile at all. This would require far more time than than a port of 0. On the other hand, even if they redo the controls/gameplay totally, porting 0 should be pretty quick/cheap/easy. With that being the case, they could easily be planning to do remakes of other games (RE2) or even working on them now, yet still push 0 out before anything else since it can be done so much faster.

If they really are doing a port of 0, I think it could be a sign that they are planning/working on remaking other games in the series, since there's not much other reason to port 0 other than to keep the RE games flowing or for the sake of completion.

Why?  All the others have been redone the death!

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

RE4 was not a financial disappointment. The game turned a profit on the GC. It was just they spent so much money on it, they ported it to the PS2 just in case (since the port was decided before the GC version was released).

The Wii port was just gravy.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

RE0 was entertaining in my opinion, but if they remake some it should be 2 or 3, honestly I really think 3 in RE4 format would be amazing, since I thought the nemesis sequences were pretty tense
