If maximizing sales were their biggest concern then square obviously wouldn't have made the deal.  Microsoft is footing the bill, or most of it at least, so they are the one's that are going to have to worry about that investment.

More proof. The x1 is way overtracked on this site, while the ps4 is undertracked. The x1 is even overtracked in the USA, wich means in the rest of the word should be a lot more overtracked. So right now it should be a litle bit over 2 times higher, maybe like 2.1:1.

Another thing is that the demand for the x1 has been diminishing. Prooving that the $400 sku did nothing for the baseline since its still slowly diminishing and the ps4 and even wii u are steady. My guess is that by the end of the year it will be at least ps4 2.5:1 x1.
