Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Rise of the Tomb Raider E3 reveal only ever stated Xbox 2015

Its interesting how Ms securing one of the bigest posive exclusive deals ever is having more of a negative impact on the gaming comunity than a positive one. Also because Square-Enix is involved and everyone already hates them it became even easier to bash Ms. This Tomb Raider exclusive deal might turn out to do more harm than good to all parts involved specially since it clearly was a money hatting type of deal.

I even think a tweak like announcing the game at E3 and saying "and it is exclusive to X1" would have been better.  There was a complete assumption that was never challenged by Microsoft or SquareEnix that this was a multi platform game.  If it was exclusive at E3 I cannot imagine Microsoft not screaming that from the rooftops.  This announcement coming months later is, in part, why people feel their expectations on this entry have been betrayed.

Around the Network

I lost my respect for SE.

I mean, GTAV remastered only showed "on playstation 4" in the reveal trailer. That's because they don't want to be directly advertising for the competitor.

Gotta give it to MS, they took Tomb Raider away but their newly released Cry Engine game is amazing.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Isn't that the same type of deal all the game companies make or do companies make games exclusive for Sony & Nintendo because they're BFFs?

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.
