Some people are missing an important fact here. A lot of guys here grew up with Lara Croft on Playstation almost two decades ago. And most of them probably still prefer Playstation today. I can understand that some people really dispise this action.

It's pretty much the same if say Gears of War or Donkey Kong went muliplat this generation, and then became exclusive on PS5.

It's a cheap move and all it accomplishes is pissing of a lot of PS4 gamers.

and the reason for that is because sony paid for it to not be on other platforms

At the bolde so thats the reason it was on  ps1 saturn dreamcast pc etc

only the 1st one was on more then one console

So many "gamers" saying they either won't or can't play it now.

WHAT!

Those who have only ever owned sony consoles (and theres a lot of them on this site) really do need to grow up.

I can't stand sony (i have my reasons), but gen after i gen i still get their consoles at the end of the day.

It's not like the game doesn't exist, all you need is an xbox one......... simple.

All you need is that other $400 system that plays about 90% the same games your PS4 already plays, just that the PS4 plays them better, so that aside from possibly this you don't have much reason to actually use it, if you aren't into its other exclusives. It's only 400 bucks, what's the problem, don't you shit money?

Dernebel.

Thats a perfect example of a rabid sony fans way of thinking.

What are the odds that there are NO OTHER GAMES that appeal to a pro sony guy on the xbox one?

That has to be on of the most BS comments that i have ever come across.

Besides, if you can happily part with $400 for a ps4, i see no reason that by the time TR comes out, you would not more than be able to fork out for an xbox one too.

Edit: Moderated - Starlord.

Yea dernebel.. We all shit out money.. Why can't you?  Afterwards, we can all go smoke some crack with charlie sheen and Lindsay lohan.. Cuz that's how we rolls.. Didntyaknow?

Lol.. On topic.. We'll just have to see how this plays out.. Sure CD and SE got their money.. But TR is now officially on suicide watch.  Wouldn't surprise one bit if after the exclusivity ends and sw sales on other platforms end up being worse due to fan base boycotting..  Incoming 2nd round of the fall of TR.

Man.. I hate it when your girl has to leave my place to come back to you..

Yep, that makes three of us. It is a solid pick-up for MS, but fan frustration is understandable. Then again, I'm not complaining - I'll be getting the Halo 5 Xbox One just before this launches (unless Quantum Break releases first ), so I'll be all set!

It's not even that solid for MS.  Does TR sell consoles, especially Xbox consoles?

This is a bad deal for MS, bad deal for the fans.  Only SQUARE/CD will be in the money, in exchange for being dicks to their fans.

If it wasn't a system seller before, a good deal of franchise fans will buy an Xbox for it. It won't be a Halo-style seller, but it makes a point for Microsoft - to have a game, exclusive to their machine, from a genre dominated by PlayStation.

I get both sides of this.

I suspect this is a $100 Million+ deal.  Roughly speaking, I think they must sell 1 Million + consoles to break even on such a deal.

There's no way 1 Million people will buy XB1 for TR.

By holiday 2015, I might be ready to buy a bone anyways. Of course, I would get the game on X1 used if it truly is a an exclusive and not a timed exclusive .

I can see 1 million folks buying it. If nothing more, that at least.

Over 1 Million XB1 owners will buy would buy TR, but I don't think 1 Million folks will now buy an XB1 to play TR.

E.g. Titanfall a more high profile console seller, only boosted sales by ~150k in March (combined with a price drop) and XB1 sales baseline dropped after that.  TR will boost less than that.

Of course not, but nobody rational expects the X1 to move 1 million units based on this.

Right, and not to mention MS is not gaining a title, it is just removing one from Sony.  The net effect of people jumping ship from Sony to MS due to TR is going to be negligible.

Fans will lose access to the game, Sony will lose royalties, CD will lose revenue, MS will foot the bill.
