Soo...I think this argument is pretty much settled...out of all the users on the site, it appears only one, maybe two people find this offensive. Soo ridiculous. At least us Chicagoans don't have too much of an accent, or any major funny language quirks hehe.

Yeah, it's a good thing fans of Daaah Bears don't have any weird language quirks...

this thread proves that wii fans don't deserve any M rated titles... if a simple "eh" sets them off, imagine what happens when you do something like put blood in a game or have cursing... seriously, grow up. If a poll asking if canadians say "eh" or "sorry" gets you that upset your either emo or just need something to do with your time.

I just got off the Wii boards on Nintendo.com where something was brought to my attention!

Nintendo just created a poll on the Everybody Votes Channel that is very offensive to its Canadian user base.  The pol's question was Which expression due Canadian's use most "Eh or Sorry" this is horribly offensive. While its true the majority of the world does stareotype us as the most peacefull people on the earth this makes us sound either cowardly or like hicks.

The poll is already creating outrage on the Nintendo boards and I'm e-mailing in a complaint. I'm not sure how many other Canadian's are offended but isn't insulting someones Nationality just as bad as insulting them for their skin colour or their religeous faith?

I'd like your opinion, if we created a poll question that asked what phrase American's use most "Terrorist or Ruff" how would that go over? Is it fair to insult our country or any one elses country?

The english and Australinas have an accent(very different between the two I might add!) and in their countries they use different words quite often that we do not over here. Australians are known for saying "mate" quite often, and in the UK when I was there the majority I met said Charming,...We in the US use cool quite often, its not offensive. Only a closed minded individual that is extremely callow and wants to complain about the "eh" would take offense...think outside the box and focus on your inner positive self energy instead of getting upset over piss and vinegar.

PS Last time my friends came down form BC they made fun of the Eh...quite iften because they say it repeatedly...

OH by the way  The US is known to be the fattest in the world.......WANNA TRADE STEREOTYPES???

I'm a Canuck and I say "eh" all the time. Stop being a pussy.

Ok, you got me at dah bears...even if I never say that hehe. The Bears would be so boring though.

Did you know they actually train newscasters to speak with a Midwestern accent because it's the most neutral?

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

MY ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS THREAD: THE POLL QUESTION WAS NOT A WORLDWIDE QUESTION
ONLY CANADIANS SAW THE QUESTION!!
I've been using the Everybody Votes channel for a couple months, and I have never (and i JUST LOOKED) seen a question involving Australians or Canadians (I live in USA). Jesus guys, there is a National Poll section, and a Worldwide Poll section. WORLDWIDE POLLS ARE WORLDWIDE. NATIONAL IS JUST YOUR OWN COUNTRY. How is it offensive if a Canadian poll asks your opinion about Canadian sayings. Would I get offended if a poll asked "What do they say more in Texas? Yeehaw or Y'all?" (the answer is y'all). No I wouldn't get offended because I GREW UP, something most of these PC people should do.
