Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nintendo isnults Canadian's!

As a Canadian, I'd like to apologize on Nintendo's behalf if this perception of Canadians has in any way offended anyone. In the future we'll try harder to be assertive and aggressive, in the hopes that we won't perpetualte a stereotype, and thus cause some to be offended if others buy into it. Sorry, eh?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

You were such a loyal N-custumer mr. JC7... What now? Would you abandon ship of the N-worshipers

Seriously, I think it's pretty unfair of Big N but as some people here mention you are a bit spastic. This raid of other N-boys on you is really funny though...

BTW you were an author of these screaming Pokemon threads, weren't you?

If your talking about my Pokemon marketing thread yes I was!

As for me ditching Nintendo over Nationalist pride, Nintendo Of Canada was the basin for Nintendo of America along time ago. Infact I live nearby Nintendo of Canada's headquarters within a few hours and unlike the other competitors consoles Nintendo started alot of its North American Operations in Canada and devoted a branch to Canada.

It's not like its going to change my ideology or what i enjoy or believe I'm still a hardcore gamer and as such love my Wii and the 360. As for Nintendo Fanboy's in this thread, I really really don't care just because some people have no national pride doesn't mean none of us do. As aparent in some threads insulting someones nationality isn't a joke.

Well for all those people saying "who cares" how would you like it if Nintendo insulted your country? Maybe something about what do American's say most "Terrorist or Ruff" or how about a low blow against the U.K or Australia.

Now some people would find it an honour to get their country mentioned period, honestly it is an honour to be seen as the most peacefull and polite nation but we are all to often portrayed as cowards rather then peace keepers. Just look CallofDuty3 was the first WWII game to acknowledge Canada was even involved in World War II but we were the third most powerfull Navy in the world and liberated the Netherlands and Italy as well as invaded Juno Beach on D-Day.

Its the stareotypical question that is dissapointing, I'm sorry but I'm proud of my country!

pride and sensitivity are 2 different things...I happen to be an african-american and this is NO racisim and a WEAK sterotype to even get bent out of shape aboot compared to what i've seen and heard throughout my 20 years of life... c'mon bruddah

The stereotype of Canadians being pussies is baseless, so that doesn't hurt me in the slightest. In WW 1 and 2 Canadians earned a reputation for the quality of our soldiers. We have nothing to worry about. Go team.

Yeah...I don't really care. I wouldn't really care if there was a poll asking what Americans said more, "terrorists or ruff(?)" considering I'm not even sure what that implies....I've never even heard of the word ruff actually...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

i don't know about you but "eh" is kinda a "trademark" i sometime use to hint others I am a Canadian (online wise). Instead of getting mad of stereo type, laugh with it. But that's just me, laugh and joke at everything.

nintendo don't do the polls ppl offer them in and nintendo puts them on. So nintendo never made the question...and it isn't even that offensive

Actually the American poll would use "Huh" a lot. After working as a CSR for an ISP, that's the MOST common thing any American would ever say when they got confused. "We need to go into your control panel, can you get there?" "Huuuuh?" New Yorkers do it the most.
