I like Xbox but don't really like Microsoft. They are just another huge company that's greedy for money. I do like Bill Gates though.

it was like a sizable part of MS died when Bill Gates stepped down, huh?

Yeah. MS will never be as good as it was without him in charge.

So how do you feel about Sony copying Nintendo's mainstream console success, or Xbox live's mainstream success with PSN? Or how about Sony's Xperia phones copying iPhone/Galaxy?

Just curious if you dislike Sony as much as MS since they behave very similarly.....according to you.

Also, I see you've already backed away from your claim that MS copies people's ideas and then releases cheaper, inferior versions. That didn't take long.

I feel exactly the same way about anything. But it's not all black and white (I'm not a black and white kind of thinker). The original PS was more or less like the Wii in that it attempted to grab a new market. It brought gaming into the mainstream and popularized "M" titles. So while Nintendo made Sony's entry possible, Sony didn't just make a standard console and copy Nintendo. They took something old and evloved it in an original way.

On the whole, Sony has slightly more original than MS, though both pale in comparison with Nintendo imo because Nintendo started the entire modern industry. When the NES launched, it was launching without a market to sell to (market crash in '83). They actually had to CREATE the damned thing all over again and figure out ways to get people to buy their products. They created entire genres for fucks sake.

As far as MS releasing inferior products, I absolutely didn't back down. Zune=inferior iPod. Windows phone=inferior iPhone/Android. Windows=inferior OS. Xbox Music=inferior Spotify. Xbox One(original concept)=inferior Steam machine. Suface=inferior consumer tablet. Cortana=inferior Siri.

It's almost all one cheap rip off after another. Their mindset it "find popular market, make cheap copy of it and profit." It's pathetic imo.

windows an inferior OS? their OS was the only OS that was any good for decades and now it is great, windows 8 is a masterpiece of software engineering with some UI difficulties.

surface is the most premium tablet out, i have no idea what you're talking about.

zune was as good as and ipod (seriously it was an mp3 player what else could it do?)

Cortana is as good, if not better than siri.

I really think you have used about zero Microsoft products and/or let extreme bias cloud your view IMHO ms has driven the gaming industry forward more than any other, direct x was superior to anything on pc for the last decade and is second only to mantle in about 3 games. Direct X introduced brand new ideas and openGL is still playing catch up.

Every company releases a few products that are inferior to the competition (apple, sony, etc). Sony really only made one product for the last 8 years that was better (or on par) with the rest: the playstation. their phones? poop. TV's? over priced on par with competition. PC's? Overpriced, lacking features.

Apple? ipads- inferior surfaces (spec wise, app wise, functionality wise, productivity wise). Really overpriced computers with outdated graphics cards and the latest overkill cpu setups, i just don't even understand. iphones? tiny screens, with hardcore restrictions, outdated specs when they come out, everything is locked to itunes, no nfc technology, etc.

Systems Owned: PS1, PS2, PS3,PS4, Wii, WiiU, xbox, xbox 360, xbox one

I like PC games, but I don't like at all having to use Windows to play most of them.
About consoles: as long as MS doesn't become market leader, it's good for competition and so for users too, but we all know that whenever it can defeat competitors it kills competition altogether and the destiny of users is slavery. So I wish it to stay above 25% but never reach 40%, that's where it could start becoming dangerous instead of beneficial to competition.

Yeah, Microsoft is fine. Except when they made Windows ME, Vista, and 8.
