It's always been my intention to wait for the 1TB model and a price-cut. Might be awhile yet for the second part of the equation.

My guess is that it would be priced at $400. Kinda like a soft price drop as the 500GB models will probably drop in in price to $350. Its a way of doing a price drop without actually doing a price drop.
That's cool. They should of launched with 1TB though. Since disc and digital all install. 500GB is small.

Yes, but that way they won't make money. Do you want to ruin Sony? |
As it stands sony makes a profit on every PS4 sold. If they put in a bigger HDD at OEM prices they would at worst go back to breaking even on every PS4 sold. The second a new PS4 owner buys a game, extra controller, PS+...etc sony are right back in the blue again as per that user.
The sad thing is that they don't have to do it. If the priced it at $450 with/without a couple of their older games pre-installed on the HDD people will buy it regardless.

Sony making so much money isnt really my concern however, i think this would help boost sales, and its not like a 1TB would cost much more than a 500TB. |
Until they can't afford to put any storage into their consoles anymore.
Like the Wii U.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
That's what it should have come with initially. I'll have to buy a 1TB later.

You'll buy another PS4 just for the 1TB memory? Get an X1 or Wii U!
