My guess is that there will be a few $450 game bundles that include the 1TB drive, though.

Don't they normally not increase price but rather replace the older HDD with the same price? Prices have gone down on manufacturing and they're selling gangbusters so I'm guessing they'll just phase out the 500gb and introduce this as the new standard this November or early next year.

What Sony needs to do is drop the 500GB drive to $369.99 and have the 1TB one at $399.99. Just my opinion though

If they sell it for 450 and the 500gb version still at 400 they will make a lot of money.

Sony making so much money isnt really my concern

however, i think this would help boost sales, and its not like a 1TB would cost much more than a 500TB.
