Forums - Gaming Discussion - Ryse 2 Could Release On PS4;, Crytek Not Too Happy With Xbox One Sales

Well, no thanks, Sunset Overdrive 2 on PS4 will be more interesting

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

In fairness to Crytek, wasn't it a kinect title that was changed at the last minute? A lot of the complaints (repeating enemies, lack of diversity in available moves) could be fairly easily fixed in a sequel or reboot now that the hardest work is complete. The only thing to worry about is the toxicity of the brand of Ryse now with gamers. So maybe instead of 'Ryse 2', do 'Wrath of the Legions' and make it fully multiplatform. Aim for 1.5-2.5m on each target platform, and boom a 6+m selling title. $$$. Easy peasy.

Mod Edit - Ignore.

They be better of remastering Crysis then a sequel to that.

If only Ryse were a good game...

They would have to improve the sequel a lot for me to be interested.

You'd think if Microsoft really felt it was a system seller then they'd fund it, but I don't think it did much but stall for Titanfall (I'm sure you can argue all that did was stall for Halo MCC, which is stalling for 5....)

As discussed on the announcement thread, there are a few of us who will buy it for the graphics. But Crytek needs to learn to make better games, or get some traction with the CryEngine beyond Star Citizen

Well as the story goes, MS did want a sequel to Ryse but they also wanted the IP. Crytek didn't agree to that so maybe they'll have to rely on a company like Deep Silver to fund Ryse 2.

Why would they make a part 2? Knack 2 and Ryse 2 need to not happen.

Heathen! I actually have high hopes for Knack 2. If they can fix up the story and characters and variation in combat and mechanics and dialogue and ... fuck.

OT: I'm not crazy about it but it could be worth a rental.

Sooooooooo... they complain about low install bases? I guess that's a totally reasonable complaint from someone who releases a next gen launch title that is exclusive to a single platform.

No wonder they ran the company into the ground.
