For those who assumed a lot of things about the Vault and the Early Access program, you are getting clarifications from EA.

New details have emerged regarding EA Access, the Xbox One exclusive subscription service that grants players access to The Vault, a collection of select EA titles.

According to the EA support website, EA Access game trials - which allow subscribers to play new EA games five days before release - are not equivalent to game demos. "Unlike demos, which are stand-alone chunks of the game meant to give you a taste but don’t provide the full experience," the page reads, "when you play a trial through EA Access, you're playing the real game for a limited time, five days before the release date."

Additionally, EA has explained that the amount of content available in each game trial will vary from game to game. "Each game is different, so each game’s trial will be, too. In some titles you’ll be able to play one of the game's modes for a limited time, while other times you can jump right into the full game." EA previously announced that the first games that will be available for early access are Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA Live 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Speaking with CVG, EA COO Peter Moore said that The Vault - which currently includes FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2, and Battlefield 4 - will "get its share of triple-A titles." Moore wasn't able to clarify when new games will be added to The Vault, saying "New game additions will be determined by franchise and timing...there's no template, like 30 days after a game ships it goes into the Vault."

Moore also reiterated that EA has no plans to remove games from The Vault. "I think one of the key things is that once a game goes into the Vault it stays there, it's not going to be taken out, that's a commitment we've made."

EA Access is currently in beta on Xbox One. The subscription service is expected to launch later this summer for $5 USD a month, or $30 USD a year. Sony recently revealed that they passed on the program as it isn't of "good value to the Playstation gamer."

None of this is new.....

All of this was revealed the very first day. Old news.

Maybe for you. A lot of the complainers assumed EA would remove games from the vault from time to time or understood the early access as demo games.
And honestly EA never clarified that.

EA Access is going to be huge.

hmm, that's a good point. I doubt it will work like that though. I also wonder if your progress in the free trial will be carried over if you choose to buy the full game. I would hate to put a lot of effort into a free trial and see none of it counted. 

progress carries over and i think you would just keep playing since its the 5 days before release not like a month before it comes out
