Microsoft was once again "saved" (above all 3rd parties) by Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Without it, it'd be below Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. Sunset Overdrive suffered a lot more proportionally, but remained above Halo 5. Overall, interest in the XBO seems to be carried by first parties almost as much as Nintendo, at least in the VGChartz community. Some of the first party offerings, however, such as Quantum Break, Forza Horizon 2, Scalebound, and Crackdown 3, have been forgotten in favor of 3rd party offerings. Another notable trend, perhaps a discouraging one to some, is that despite Microsoft's wide variety of first party offering's on the horizon, most of the interest in Microsoft's first party, and in the system in general, seems to be for Microsoft's shooters. Without the top three titles on the system, all 1st party shooters, XBO would be below every other system mentioned. Contrast to PS4 which in the same situation would stay in its same place on the totem pole, and the Wii U which would fall down one place below PS4. Without those three shooters, Microsoft as a publisher would be down with Sega, Capcom, and a bunch of Indie developers. Again, this is only for this forum community, but it really goes to show how much the Microsoft fanbase on VGC prefers their shooters.

Playstation has no lack of offerings, but certainly more than the other two, its players go after 3rd party games. There seems to be a theme of Action-Adventure going on here, with a four 1st party titles being from the genre, as well as a good selection of 3rd party games. Meanwhile, excitement seems to have dwindled for Vita 1st party, with almost 90% of Vita's votes going to 3rd party titles. Sony did admit it was a 3rd party machine, but this is still astonishingly down from last month, where Sony 1st party was at the top of Vita's offerings. On the home console front, Bloodborne has seen some impressive growth, being one of the few games in this feature to grow month over month this month. Almost half of Sony's points were for Bloodborne alone! That's not saying much though. With just 84 points for Sony PS4 titles, Sony 1st party makes up little over a third of PS4 points. Contrast that to Microsoft's 70% of XBO points and Nintendo's...99%...of Wii U...

Nintendo lost the most month over month, but stayed on top by a huge margin. Even without the 226 points from its top three games, it would still have twice Sony's second place of 90. For whatever reason, users of this feature just love the Wii U, though who can blame them? The feature has been dominated by Nintendo for a few months now, but after Nintendo's solid E3 there's now a much bigger variety to vote for than simply a huge concentration on Smash, Zelda, and Xenoblade. Those three titles, however, seem to draw the attention of even non-Nintendo fans. Whether this points to Wii U becoming a favorite secondary console of this feature's users remains to be seen, but the interest is definitely there. Without any more news of Zelda, it's former vote-thin margin with Smash has separated into a considerable gap, but it managed to remain above Xenoblade. Despite some momentum growing around Hyrule Warriors, Pokemon has overtaken it in this feature, unsurprisingly. Meanwhile, Smash on 3DS has begun to fall behind, perhaps a bad sign this close to release, perhaps merely a result of this months thinner voting turnout. The point stands, however, that it now has a considerable gap between the likes of it and Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, and even newcomer Splatoon. Several of the Wii U titles held strong month over month. Captain Toad, on the other hand, fell flat on his face, losing two thirds of his votes. The 3DS in general seems to be waning, but at the same time, the number of titles mentioned actually went up this month. Meanwhile, Codename S.T.E.A.M. continues to get one vote per month. From me. Screw you guys, I think it looks awesome.
