Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC Edition Appears on Amazon UK

The leaks and rumors surrounding a possible PC release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection continue to pile up. Recently a listing for the game appeared on Amazon.es, the Spanish version of the popular online retailer. Also, entries have been found within the Steam database for Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3. Today a new listing has popped up on Amazon.co.uk. The listing is currently still available, but expect it to be removed soon.

The title is listed separately from the main Halo: The Master Chief Collection page, and currently only allows users to sign up to be notified if/when it becomes available. Admittedly, this listing alone is highly doubtful evidence, but given the past leaks it becomes more significant. It is still another piece of mounting evidence that Microsoft might be releasing the highly anticipated compilation for PC.

Amazon UK has been known to leak information before a game’s official announcement. The last time it happened they revealed the existence of a PC version of Tekken 7. Before that they accidentally posted a listing for Mortal Kombat X which was to be unveiled at E3 later that month. However, other time Amazon simply creates a placeholder page in anticipation of a possible release. We’ll have to wait and see which one this turns out to be, but I’m sure a lot of gamers are hoping it is a leak.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection combines the four main entries in the Halo series into one package. Taking the remade Halo: Anniversary Edition, adding in  remastered Halo 2: Anniversary, and making the Xbox 360 games run at 1080 and 60 fps. If the game does end up on PC it will be the first time Halo 3 and Halo 4 have been playable on PC. The original releases of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 made it to PC, but they are quite outdated now and require a lot of work to get running.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be released on November 11th for Xbox One. And, if these listings and rumors end up being true, PC as well.

Will probably happen in 2015

if it happens it wont be till shortly before halo 5 but thats a big IF

I would better get a 760 with a core i5 CPU. It will be cheap and better than getting a Xbox One. The reason to own Xbox One is getting away.

Not surprising. Good news for those who wanted the collection and didn't want to buy an X1 for just one game though. I wonder if it'll be on Steam as well?

Self confessed PS4-preferrer (yeah that's a word) here:

I think this is great from MS if true. Sure, it will give vocal fanboys a reason to shout that it's not exclusive (we all know that's BS anyway cause it's on X1 and not PS4 and that's where the war is at), but the fact of the matter is that there is a burgeoning PC market looking for high quality games and that will encroach very little on X1 sales anyway.

Put away your exclusive wars - this will be awesome if true.

And... I don't have to get an X1 then - well, at least not until the new Gears (depending on how it turns out).

I still think they'd have to be completely mad to put it on PC. "Hey guys, let's take our biggest system seller and put it on the most openly available platform so people don't need to buy an X1!"

Yes, but they may also be thinking "We don't have a high enough X1 attach rate and we don't see as many people buying it for this game as we would like!  Quick, put it on PC too so we can get more sales!"

There's 3 versions of MCC on Amazon UK and 2 with no operating system so I'm not convinced.
